Wow that's quite high specs for that price. You may also want to check on what graphic card you require. Do you want to game on the laptop, and if so, will it be highly intensive ones? You could try the Lenovo Legion Y520, you can find some are $700, but it is quite rare to find one at that price point.

When buying a laptop computer, I try to look for the maker, the ram, ROM, screen resolution, battery durability, window type, does it have WiFi and Bluetooth etc.

I am not adept at operating the computer, but usually when buying a laptop I am looking for a ram and a big processor, because it will affect when we use the internet on our laptop

The memory and the processor is the most important part of all this. The driver too..

That's already a good spec of a laptop, when buying a laptop it is also like buying a computer desktop, always look at the specification so you will not regret buying it and I guess you have a good taste buying a laptop. I don't think that there will going to be a problem after you buy.

For me, all of the above plus one that has raised keys.  I have fat fingers and these new keyboards, touch pads are very hard for me to use.  In some cases you have to be a concert level pianists in order to type a sentence without making a mistake.

this is very useless information, because it determined witch i5 is it, witch ssd and so on, because some i5 is better then some i7 or some i5 is less then some i3, the same is on SSD and Video card, so give us these info in detail and we will advice you better

good luck...

I bought a refurbished laptop with win10 license and 2 years warranty
    Core i5 CPU
    1920 x 1080 screen
    4GB of RAM
    320 hdd

all for about 200 euro

then i bought 4gb more (same type) for 10 euro (ebay)
and ssd 240gb for about 75 euro (new)
and a caddy for 5 euro (I replaced the dvd slot with the original hdd and the original hdd slot with the ssd one)

so all in all i paid for my laptop less than 300 euro
battery is not that good and should be replaced, but I am still fine with its current 4h life

Depends on what you want it for. For coding you'll want at least 8gb to run any substantial programs if you want it for gaming then a decent graphics are will be needed.

Depends what you understand by "right laptop".
That's a pretty low budget if you wish some high end specs.
In general, check for CPU high speeds, SSD is a must and some decent GPU if you are looking for gaming.

#Latest operating system and up-to date list of softwares.

Of the things you mentioned I consider the amount of ram, and having an SSD hard drive to be the most important. It will provide the much more smoother experience. Or at least the less annoying. Then comes the CPU and screen.

Laptops are relatively small and lightweight mobile computers, weighing in the range of 1-6kg depending on size, material, from the laptop's specifications, the laptop can be used in different environments from the computer. Once you know which category of laptop best suits your needs, it is time to check the specifications.

You have to see first the specs first then the look .so many laptops are different prices but still same  specs or far from the expensive laptops.
