Hi Frank! I'm also new. I'd heard about bitcoin years ago but only gave it a passing glance. I wish I had given it more attention.

I'm curious; is there a master list somewhere of all vendors that accept bitcoin as payment? So far I've started just mining with my video cards (Which was quickly taken to almost not being worth it). I've ordered a 5GH from BFL; but I'm pretty far down the list. I know a lot of people say it won't ever make RIO... I guess I didn't order it for profit as much as to stay involved.

I've been taking all of my bitcoins and investing them in stocks. It's been fun to explore; Huge risk... interesting rewards. Right now I'm into ACTM, I find it very interesting how the community is comprised of some people who are very professional and those who enjoy drama. I'm curious if the actual stock market is like this as well or if bitcoin has created something pretty unique.

Hi!

I think the Trade (https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Trade) list on the Bitcoin Wiki is what you're looking for. It's a directory of companies, users and services that accept Bitcoin sorted by category.
