There will always be better projects than we have today. Even every BTC fork improves something (block size, consensus type, privacy and so on). It's a very hard thing to do something fundamental and succeed at the very beginning.

The main feature of any currency is the ability to make transactions and give some volume to any other people. BTC, LTC, BCH and any other cryptocurrency work pretty well in this case

Well they don't all tackle the same problem and because of that there can exist hundreds if not thousands of cryptocurrencies. The unique aspect about this industry is that it isn't limited to one field but rather can be a part of any field as long as the technology is integrated well.

With the time old cryptocurrencies and their chains become very complex and using of them require much possibilities that can not be easily provided. That’s why fresh new projects appear and attract money!

Why? because there is no perfect coin. Competition between coins make each of them better and release their potentials.
