Focus on reading and contributing in the forum constructively without spamming. After 30 days, your activity will increase to 30 in respect to number of post made here . If you rank up to jnr member you can engage in signature campaing which will give you tokens at end.

The bitcoin ship has sailed.
We can follow it with a boat but we might not catch up, it is expensive (fees) and slow (transactions). Even if they fix that, bitcoin is public and not anonymous. Soon when people realize the shortcomings, it may sink.

I suggest to research the market for new cryptos that cover bitcoin shortcoming. Spend some time at coinmarketcap to study the market and look for new coins that still have a low value. Look for open-source coins that offer anonymity, privacy and decentralization.

make your own research about the projects and stay calm. You should not panic sell, because of panic sell you may lose a lot.

Reading, reading, researching, reading, small amount trading, reading again, spend some time in front of computer, if you need month or two and you will be familiar with a lot more things you need to start some healthy.
Trading at this moment is great thing because you can make some money but you NEED to be familiar with a lot of things, time is your friend now! Just be patient and you will see.

gtr28 you are right indeed, i have been a reader myself of bitcointalk.org since 2010 and some of the users here are very useful providing valuable information and tips that ultimately help us grow together as a team, because in the end we all have to connect and create " the network " that make the machine running.

To start your Bitcoin Journey i suggest:

Start with reddit.com Signup and interact with users on Bitcoin and bitcoin related subreddits and don't be afraid to ask questions. There are many users who will help you learn more and more.

Start watch videos on youtube about how bitcoin work, how to earn money with bitcoin, how to generate money with bitcoin as an cryptoasset, etc

Get active on Quora and ask questions about cryptoassets, I am myself active on Quora where i can answer questions about digital currencies and i have experience in IT and Digital currencies

You have to stay up-to-date with what is happening in the Crypto world, everything, forbes, coinbase, etc read daily

I don't advice to go the other way, casinos, trading, etc

Protip: As Rodrigo said, Diversify is the key to success Wink

Have a good one friend

Welcome. There are numerous aspects that I believe you have to know but the answer is very simple, "read read read sleep repeat". I believe that I'm on a need to know basis and I need to know everything.

Don't chase a quick buck, always invest in a crypto that you are passionate about and that reflects your personal values. Furthermore, I've paid the school fees:
1) don't reply on email confirmations or request asking you to confirm your details (I will not do it for my banking, why I did it for cryptos - I did not pay attention.
2) Do not buy / sell/ buy / sell and try to get into the next BIG THING, there will be many to come it costs alot of money to sell and buy nex cryptos. If you do want to sell I try and sell only if I'm more than 300% up, and then you must leave the initial investment (Just HODL)

This is merely the beginning of the next technological revolution, we are no the first movers (they must still come) we are the pioneers in the wild west of cryptos - ENJOY!
