Hey guys.

I won a contest off the internet and made a quick $2,000. The only form of payout was through bitcoin. I am new to bitcoin so I wasn’t to sure how to work any of it. I downloaded Coinbase and when the website asked me for my wallet address I copied the code from Coinbase and submitted it. A week later I still have not received my bitcoin and the website informs me that they have sent it and it was approved. They sent me the link on blockchain and I do see it being sent but I still can’t find it anywhere. If someone helps me locate my bitcoin I will throw them a couple hundred dollars. I just really need to get this money in hand!!

Please help

If you send it in the right bitcoin address from coinbase it should be there..
Since they given the transaction ID can you share it with us and post it here so that we can check what is actually the reason why your transaction still not arrive or receive to your coinbase wallet..  There are times that transaction could be delay if the transaction fee or miners fee is too low.. so if you can give and post your txid we can check it if this is the reason why you didn't receive your bitcoin..

You'll need to contact Coinbase support and ask them why your account has not been credited with the BTC.

Assuming that address "1B8PK92rmNF4ujv1jP2x4sYsU5CnLgWz9G" is where you told the "website" to send your BTC, then it has indeed been sent and confirmed in transaction: https://blockchain.info/tx/9440516421525cbbb30770415c77c670941b697386e57af59122c7e09b0ad08f

If your Coinbase account does not reflect this deposit, the only people who can help are Coinbase.

Please post the address that you game them from Coinbase.

Please also post the link to the transaction that you were given.

There's no other reason why it wouldn't show up.
The transaction has already confirmed in the blockchain -- the blockchain doesn't lie.

As long as you're 100% sure that the receiving wallet address was given to you by Coinbase, then they are the only one in the capacity to help.
No one else can help you because Coinbase alone has the private key to that address.

I cant see any other reason that it wouldnt show up maybe your wallet is bugged i guess. Best thing of my opinion it would be to get in contact with the "company" you made the wallet.the website. Should give you a fair explanation.

Is there any other reasons why this is not showing up? Could i of messed something up when copying my bitcoin address?

Possible reasons I know, but low chances of happening:
 - fake coinbase wallet, though I'm sure there'd be a lot of reports by now if there's a new phishing scam using coinbase.
 - error in copying, yes this happens, this may occur on both copying and pasting, that's why it's recommended to check at least the 1st and last 4 characters of the address. It's ok to be paranoid when it comes to addresses.

Again these have low chances of happening. So if everything you did were correct, coinbase is the only one who can help you since the transaction is already confirmed. I'm not sure if the customer service hotline would help but give it a try. Then again, coinbase is known for shit customer service.
