Dear forum

i am a super newbie in this sector. I have just received 2 gridseed blades (2 set of 2 each). I have managed to install all the drivers according to the forum.
I run cgminer and recognizes both blades at both pc which are installed.

However in both of the computers only one blade seems to mining (green light and results)

I assume i do something wrong in the bat file
cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://stratum.YOURPOOL.COM:123 -u USERNAME -p PASSWORD --gridseed-options=baud=115200,freq=800,chips=40 --hotplug 5

Do you have  any hint which can help me and guide?

thank you

You forget to setup the com port for your grindseed blades. Every blade side has his own com port. Open your device manager and look at the virtuel com ports. There you should saw 2 entrys. For every blade side one virtuel com port. Add this command to your bat file and use the virtual ports you saw in the device manager: --gc3355=\\.\COM17  --gc3355=\\.\COM18

Maybe i remember wrong.. its around 4 years ago i used the last time some gridseed blades. More information you can find in this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=482352.100

I don't use the com ports in my batch file.  I run some Gridseed dual miners and a Gridseed blade.  I use this:

cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://hash-to-coins.com:3333 -u USER.1 -p x --gridseed-options=baud=115200,freq=888,chips=5 --hotplug 30 --gridseed-override "48E981603731:freq=850,chips=40;48EF6F4B3734:freq=850,chips=40"

that way my dual miners run at 888mhz and my blade runs at 850 and the hash rate is reported correctly (5 chips vs 40 chips).

I have to unplug my USB hub, start the cgminer, then plug the USB hub in after the program is running.  Will not work correctly if they are connected to the computer when I first start cgminer.

As long as you've used Zadig (or something comprable) to change all the Virtual COM Port drivers to WinUSB, should be good to go.

Personally, I use BFGMiner, as I find it more forgiving.  To each his/her own, however.  My current batch is using the following:

Code:
bfgminer --scrypt -S gridseed:all --set-device gridseed:clock=838 -o stratum+tcp://gmc.suprnova.cc:7351/#skipcbcheck -u USERNAME -p PASSWORD

As you can see, I am slightly overclocking.  Normal clock is 800.  I find 838 works better (less hardware errors) than 850.  Good luck.

All, thank you so much for your advice.

However if you can check the below and let me know what i am doing wrong. My GSD are supposed to be at 2X2,5 and i only get the one mining.

what i still not get is how do i read at which port my devices are. I have Windows 10 and the device Manager  indicates Port_#0002.Hub_#0001 and Port_#0001.Hub_#0001

i think i am really bad in making this working. GSD 1 does nothing and i assume i do something wrong as it is the same at both pc.

Try a different version of cgminer or try bfgminer.  It looks like everything is recognizing the blade, but it's not accepting shares.  Do you have 1 power cord and 1 USB cord plugged into each card? (So 2 power cords for each unit).

I use cgminer just because that's what I was using back in 2014.  You are using a different version than I am, so may be a possibility.

I would still recommend bfgminer, if for no other reason, you do not need to explicitly define each blade.  The "-S gridseed:all" of the command line I gave above, scans for all gridseeds connected.
