Then they better become a trading website too.  Grin
It aint a wallet anymore if that happens.
Many have reacted when they added ethereum in their side and now this.
This could be chaos again or maybe more. It could be hell.

If I am the coinbase owner I wont do that. They will be losing more users again.

There is a good chance. Heard that coinbase will add new coins soon and many try to guess this coin could be Ripple. I would expect to see XRP. It's very promising, just look how high it is. Let's see what happens.

I recently an across this article: http://www.xrp.city/2018/01/ripple-on-coinbase.html

Ripple on Coinbase?  WhatDoYaThink?   A near term possibility?
at least more coins that they've added, it will be good for the coin itself and their customer, more people that use the service means more benefit for coinbase. so i think it is a good decision for them

That's what I am saying bro, they are heading down the road that is pretty much pointless to say its a wallet if they keep adding more coins regardless of popularity. And I dislike the fact that it increases the amount of newbie investor and traders that do not understand cryptocurrency at all or how it works. So many people in my town are complaining about how they downloaded coinbase and put their savings and 401k into BCH when it was 4,000USD now they are still out 50% even weeks later, that makes for crybabies that can possibly turn into a big thing that I don't want. I prefer lowkey type of things.

Few weeks ago there was on picture of a computer of coinbase employee where was written that Monero DASH and Ripple will get on coinbase. How big is chance that picture is fake no one knows. Just google and you will find that picture.  LoL You did not had to make new account for this question.

Yes i think it will push through. After the ripple hype recently which overtook ethereum and made ripple hold the 2nd place in crypto, it means its gonna go somewhere. I bet coinbase will welcome them given its recent popularity.

I have read that adding Ripple to Coinbase would make it vastly easier for more casual cryptocurrency users to gain access to its XRP tokens. But it seems to me that just adding to Coinbase is not enough for other tokens.

Ripple is confirmed to be added to Coinsquare today by their CEO
Ripple will be added to Coinbase probably this month.
Ripple is rumored to make any announcement with Google, Apple and Amazon.

Since bitcoin cash was listed recently, then I expect ripple to be listed in coinbase in the first quarter of this year, maximum before June.

Currently Ripple is on their top performance (ATH = All Time High) and it is listed as the #2 coin in the coinmarketcap which is the highest rank ever and can't be the first one and escaping the bitcoin.

In the last 24 hours ripple was traded 6,678,663,962 USD, nearly $7bn, isn't this enough for an exchange like coinbase to list in their exchange?

I highly believe that they are preparing and working intensive in the backstage to bring ripple as soon as possible in their exchange.

I read an article before that coinbase said that they  won't accept any centralized cryptocurrency on their platform. But it could change anytime specially when there is money involved. I just hope they stick on what they said.

Ripple is #2 now, so it makes sense for coinbase to add them.

This will make Ripple pump again and it has been foreshadowed last year that coinbase is going to adopt ripple on their platform.

What will happen to the crypto community if the bankers win the game?

We'll lose the battle against them if they will dominate the crypto market. But whales and of course the community will not allow this to happen, some already did disposed their XRP as a mean of not supporting the banks.
