I would like to withdraw/claim my BCH from breadwallet ios app wallet into a BCH wallet (Bitpay if that matters).

So in my breadwallet app I go to: Settings -> Advanced -> Withdraw BCH (paste or scan)

I then try to scan BCH address I want to send the funds to (Bitpay BCH Wallet Address: CX41KbDhej6ZdqjGaMfx5QCA1zGNoQRbmu)
But It doesnt recognize the QR, even if I try to paste the address in the adress textbox it says invalid address.

So then I try to send to my coinbase BCH wallet, but the same problem, bread app doesnt recognize the address in QR.

Then I just tried to scan a QR (Bitpay BTC Wallet Address: 1J4rxb8UuES4S3s2MgPfteTLrWLuTybQYB)
And that works, so it confuses me.

Why doesnt my breadwallet (withdraw BCH) recognize a BCH address?
Am I misunderstanding how this is suppose to work?

Its only about pocketchange, but I never throw away pocketchange Smiley

Thanks for helping.

I sendt a message to breadwallet support, and they answered this:

Thank you for the questions.

The address that begins with "C" is a new format that the bread app does not support at this time. Since we are busy working on full bitcoin cash support for the bread app right now, we won't be updating the withdraw feature to support the new address format.

We appreciate your patience, and will update the app to support Bitcoin Cash as soon as possible!

Thank You,

Anyways, I found a solution:
I made a new BTC(Not BCH Wallet) in my Bitpay wallet

I then withdrew BCH from Bread(wallet) to my newly created BTC wallet.

At this point the Bitpay BTC wallet incorrectly show as if I have BTC in that wallet.
Then in Bitpay : Settings -> Bitcoin Cash -> Duplicate For BCH -> Choose my BTC wallet I sendt my BCH to.

So now I have a BCH wallet in Bitpay with my BCH.
