(this info below was a big deal for me as i use tails in live dvd mode only when using my btc wallet,  and its now very difficult to use tails with bitpay, see very bottom for more info, im just trying to get info that would have helped me bigtime, out to others):

1- Bitpay invoices (and their 15m countdown of stress) no longer provide a BTC address to send your BTC to. They provide a bitcoin URI, like this: bitcoin:?r=https://bitpay.com/i/LSn1DrmQ2RF2VaF8nFHvdt

2- change the url to THIS, and paste that into any browser and you will get the ACTUAL BTC address to send to.

https://bitpay.com/invoice-noscript?id= (YOUR ID)

so thus:

https://bitpay.com/invoice-noscript?id=LSn1DrmQ2RF2VaF8nFHvdt

(not trying to double post from reddit to here, but i really wish i had been able to find this info 4 hours ago as i use Tails exclusivly when needing to send btc,  so see below url for more info from my post there).
tks

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

That's a great find... thanks for the info. Previously, I had been using Electrum to load the invoice, and getting the bitcoin address from there, but this looks like a much more direct method! I've also been toying with creating a Python script to extract it... but will just use this trick for now Wink

Nice find!

I can't imagine that Bitpay is going to leave that there any longer though, it seems like a mistake for them to do so and now that it is publicly known, it will probably go away.

Also, this link
does not work, probably because the invoice expired already.

I've also been toying with creating a Python script to extract it... but will just use this trick for now Wink
You can use the one I wrote: https://github.com/achow101/payment-proto-interface

I actually thought the exact same as you,  in putting this out as pub. as i can, bitpay will now remove it (which will hurt me bc i always use tails liveOS for ANY btc wallet access)..   BUT it looks like this was the right move!  (and right move by bitpay, for once).   the post here  and at reddit,  got a reply from one of their reps (on reddit, of course Sad  ,  but they published this KB (so looks like the -noscript url trick will stay!! ):
