I have 1600 units allocated for the first promo batch. They are arriving soon. These are going to the latest buyers at the .9x prices in reverse order.
ASICMiner's wishes are that it be a 1:1 promo. meaning that if you bought 1 miner you get 1 .10 coupon. if you bought 2, you get 2 .10 coupons if you bought 100, you get 100 .10 coupons etc... etc...
The promotional inventory that is arriving is designed to go to approximatly the latest 30% of the purchases, 1:1.
At some later date, per friedcat, the remaining 70% will also be presented with the .10 coupon. I do not have that date yet.
Therefore,
tomorrow towards the end of the day I will publish a list of how the first 1600 units are going to be distributed.
You should expect to pay .05 shipping and handling fee for a total of .15 per unit.
Will customers of your original group buys get the .1 price? (when the miners we 2 BTC) I don't think we get a coupon. For some reason those of us who paid the most get the least.  |

0.05 per unit......? Even if you're shipping many together? .05/unit is a bit high, but Canary does deserve compensation for shipping and managing thousands of orders from previous customers. The alternative is he could buy all 1600 for himself and go sell them in the marketplace sub for .60 with no problem, pocketing a quick $72k. No complaints here... However, shipping/handling discounts for larger orders (perhaps following the current group buy handling fee chart), would be much appreciated  |

Maybe he should list which Group Buys qualify? I bought in Group 7 at just over 1BTC each, and again in 16/17 at under .5 each. |

How long are you going to give people who qualify to respond & pay if they will be paying for the additional units?
If people who qualify do not elect to use the coupon, will it be passed to the next ones down and so on?

Short back to the history and I could roughly calculate that with 1600 BEs half of the GB 11 and later GBs will get chance for USB BE for 0.15BTC. Since I'm GB7 I don't believe I would get the chance if 30% purchasers were picked starting from the oldest ones (IMHO it would be more fair, but it's only my opinion). Anyhow, I'll keep 0.15 in my BTC wallet from now on...

Another Q for Canary - are you doing a different handling fee if we provide you the FedEx Label? Hope friedcat gets these filled fast! Would be great to get Group 2, 4, 7, 8, 9, 11, and (if it's eligible) 15 promos before K-16s are built en masse. |

I think .05 is fine risk/time/packaging/postage you might even say it too cheap. Always hurts for the international buyers with the high cost of fedex thou. ( although its great service ) Would be great if Canary could throw us a bone. (maybe allow us to top up our promo`s with 0.5 units to make package upto 14 units ) If possible please comment so I can get coins ready.. |
