XRP mc over ETH

The fact that Ripple has now bypassed Ethereum in terms of market cap to me seems wild. Ethereum has a great use case in terms of standardisation of smart contract deployment, and many tokens use the ERC20 standard. Ripple also has a great use case, but I still see Ethereum as a much more important and applied usecase. What do you think about the two in terms of valuation?
