I am not sure about profitability but I am sure that Nexus is the best under-the-radar coin out. Smiley

Nexus uses proof-of-work x2 (both GPU and CPU mining) as well as proof-of-stake, to combat against attackers. The value of this coin will grow in the next years so I am planning to mine it once I get my system set up.

Here is the guide: https://nxsforum.com/topic/49/new-cpu-miner-guide

Enjoy and good luck!

surprised Riecoin is no where on the list, it's quite profitable at the moment as prices have risen to nearly 50 cents recently.
Riecoin is one of the oldest CPU coins out there, it's using the primesr hashing algorithm which is designed to find large prime number constellations.

ANN thread
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=446703.0

Exchanges
Poloniex
AEX.com

Fastest miner (open source)
https://github.com/dave-andersen/fastrie/tree/stratum

A test machine i've run over the last month is an older i7 laptop Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4710HQ
It's generated about 160 RIC or about $66 at current prices. Ryzen and any high end Xeon CPU will generate many times that number.

Some pools have issues with block withholding attacks, best pools in my opinion are https://ublock.it/ and http://www.xpoolx.com/.
uBlock is a private pool, if you need an invite pm me for more information.

After reading the ANN thread, one post (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=446703.msg26334671#msg26334671) said that AMD R9 gives 4.5x increases in calculating the blocks and it indicates that Riecoin is on the edge of changing from CPU mining to GPU mining. May you elaborate more?

Anybody of you is using minergate?
There is long list of coins that you can mine with CPU and as well with GPU.
Is the easiest things, you just download the program, and you can start mining in 5 minutes, checking you results from any computer from their website.
The things I appreciate more about is the low minimum threshold.
Also, from there you suppose to have a kind of fast link to transfer your coins to the Freewallet that is a multi wallet app. So you can keep all coins you mine in the same wallet, avoiding to have thousand password on the computer, but just the fingerprint on your phone

why focus on cpu mineable coins?  99.99% of those coins can be mined by GPU.

You mine CPU-optimized coins on CPU and GPU optimized coins on GPU and you get better combined profit.
Some have very strong CPU, like multi socket  servers that idle most of the time. They can mine with CPU and get power bill payed and maybe some profit also.

But isn't it more profitable to GPU mine cryptonight coins? The VEGA give about 2KH/s.

Is there any CPU only mineable coin?

I am mining cryptonight and daggerhashimoto with the nicehash software bro. This is obviously profitable option to mine and get the profit according to the cards you are using for it. If you have the Nividia 1060 6GB cards for 5 numbers you will be able to get the profit around 450 USD per month. This is the calculation I am getting with the 5 cards but you may get the better hash rate with the 1070 cards or even more.
Mining with the CPU will not be suggestable option for the anyone, you cannot able to bear for the electricity alone with the CPU mining.

I am getting
VEGA 64 8GB for 470$
GTX 1070 8GB for 285$

Which is a better buy considering that I have never tweaked any GPU before and might run at stock settings?
Any recommendation?

hello bros

I found Arionum when i was surfing on BTC Forum ANN pages. It is claimed only CPU mineable and written code on PHP to easy development by developers. It has launched relatively new (8th Jan 2018). It can be added to CPU Mineable coins list.

Cheers

Hey guys I'm looking to put together a resource thread showcasing 1 all CPU mineable coins // best CPU mineable coins and some guides on how to get started on them whether they're write-ups or videos etc.

For example all cryptonight coins (estimated w/ ryzen 1700 oc)
https://i.imgur.com/2cNHEtnl.png

Biblepay is a CPU only mineable coin which I found interested.

Looking for all input!

I don't even see any working pool for this coin. Can you really mine it solo and make a profit?
Edit: the only pool I found is mentioned in the guide and nothing, no links even work at the site. Just a shell facade site.
So seems strange....

POOL works for bbp

How? This would give GPU users an edge .. and CPU users would "loose" since equilibrium on market would be one closer to GPU users ... do you have a link for miner code to use GPU for CPU minable coins?
