DeepSend is a mixer service that allows you to send Onions without disclosing the receiver. There are tutorials in the DeepOnion forum, that explains the mixing process in detail.

It may be glorified CoinJoin or whatever. I don't know much about DeepSend but you must know that this crypto space is very much dependent on other project. For example, almost all coins are the copied version of bitcoin.
By the way, no one will count it as insult, I think DEV will soon response with clarification on your comment as well as mine.

I'm not a dev, but according to the old DeepOnion whitepaper v1.0, the original plan was to use multi-layered privacy by combining multiple blockchain privacy technologies (coinjoin+zksnarks+...) but after coinjoin vulnerability was found, monero devs switched to RingCT and the DeepOnion devs decided to introduce something different.

The DeepOnion devs stated they are not here to fight a war with other privacy cryptos. IMHO more privacy options are always good for the privacy market.

What is impressive is that the project is still alive and not only that, it's still developing (finally DeepSend released in one month).
