Just came across a rate my portofolio thread, almost finished mine for 2018.
Quite new in the crypto world, busy for approx 2/3 months now.

Wonder what u guys and girls think and all advice / tips are welcome  Smiley

XRP 35%
Stratis 13%
Waves 11%
Lisk 9%
EOS 7.5%
Ada 6.5%
IOTA 5%
UBQ 4.5%
NAV 3%
XMR 3%
XVG 2.5%

Looking to move some more to IOTA and EOS, probably the XVG and UBQ part and a portion from XRP.

Thanks!

What's your goal with this portfolio?

Judging from their positions on CMC seems like a relatively stable portfolio (for the crypto world)

Want to stop day trading (to time consuming) and invest in safer and promising coins for this year.
Will keep a small portion for short term trading.

Anyone can have their say, but I will give you my first impression: very well diversified portfolio across a good number of knowns and a few unknowns. I have almost a similar set up, except that my biggest holding is about 25% or a quarter of my entire crypto, and that's in Bitcoin. I would recommend keeping a bit in the most recognized crypto for you too, just because you want the most safest portfolio.

Other than that, well done I think. I would choose an anon coin to go for 10%, so maybe bump up Monero. I hold 3 from your list, I only dislike EOS there Smiley

This is diversified. indeed

Anyways you are subject to the bearish trend of bitcoin as your coin are highly correlated.
I do think you should invest some in ETH so secure some cash for you to take trains and pumps.

Your portfolio is very good, if you can add more advanced coins and tokens you can get better portfolio, try adding aion, icx and universa etc in the list and you will have a more balanced and more profitable portfolio.

Its a bad portfolio. It reminds me of this guy posting how he made $4,500,000 in crypto since 2014 and is the man. Then he listed all his altcoins. But he would have made more if he had simply bought bitcoin.

I do believe in altcoins, but you dont have huge gains from buying whats already extremely expensive. None of these companies really have unique products, everyone can copy them. Its much better to invest in promising, new coins.

Unless you truly believe it will always all go up, but then you can also throw the dices and pick 10 random coins out of the top30 and will probably have about the same returns.

Crypto market is great because even a noob can win big yet most think its their own skill, its not. I made x75 in the last 3 months, thats skill. And i am not a trader either.

It was amazing to be part of Bitcointalk for a little while. Thankyou. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5316241.0

I like your portfolio, maybe you are right if you want to exchange xvg, nav and ubq, but I think it's better to exchange it to xmr and xlm.

XRP is a Nr. 1 on ROI in 2017, as more you question, more idiotic you look like, numbers speak themselves.

BTC dead, max 4x this year.

Bitcoin will always be the only known cryptocurrency to the people. I don't see bitcoin dying anytime soon. Still, most altcoins, even ripple are tied to BTC.

Ripple is on BBC, CNBC, Bloomberg and so on. You sound like a guy that sits wit DSL and never heard of Wireless.

Oh, those are some nice projects (except XVG but the price sometimes does not equal quality and 2.5% is small). I a a strong believer in altcoins and what they offer but why no Bitcoin, keep in mind that its the first coin that mainstream media talk about and where the money will originally go to.

You want to buy all the FOMO coins. That is a horrible strategy. You should look for what kind of use and technology do you believe.
Do you think Pow will continue to be the king? Or it will be PoS? Or maybe an exotic thing like IOTA and RaiBlocks?
Do you believe in smart contracts? I payment solution? Drugs and DarkNet uses?

Your portfolio is only about coins that people are pump in the last months. You should think more about your choices.

I honestly feel like you are in a great position with ripple right now to top of your list Bitcoin is a very slow grow coin at this point and if you were looking for good gains in 2018 ripples your best bet and despite what people say Ripple is not tied to bitcoin it is one of the only coins that continues to perform well when Bitcoin tanks. I'll also tell you this there is a lot of misinformation about Ripple going on Ripple Network and xrp the currency are two totally different things that rely on each other. As others have suggested I would also suggest investing in some usable coins if it doesn't have a real life use case I don't foresee it being successful, for me I just pulled out of verge entirely I don't feel as though that coin will grow any further than what it is and may end up disappearing off of the map.
