When I set up Google Authenticator (so far on 3 exchanges) I wrote down the keys in a notebook, then scanned the code to set it up.  I never printed out the bar code with the key, just wrote the keys down in my notebook.  Is there a way I can go back and print out the bar code with the key so if I need to do a recovery I can just scan the bar code instead of manually entering that long key into Google Authenticator?  Thanks

Yes.

You can generate a QR compatible with Google Authenticator by using this URL and following this template:
https://chart.googleapis.com/chart?chs=200x200&chld=M%7C0&cht=qr&chl=otpauth://totp/TEXT-OF-THE-2FA?secret=SECRET-TOKEN

Example:

The best method is to log in , use the code to disable it and redo it again, then this time the new code can be copied as you want it. I think this is the best to go about it.

dont rely on only a barcode. take the codes, dont keep it in a cloud env. actually seucring your funds is your responsibility. try not to keep your money on exchanges.

Also, I'd recommend trying Authy instead, it's a 2FA service you can use across multiple platforms, and in theory you can never be shut out of your accounts.

Thanks everyone, I am probably going to go with the disable and redo, seems like it might be easiest way.  Should I print out the code on paper, or use a USB thumb drive, maybe both.  I'm thinking if I took a picture and phone got hacked or something then someone else could have that information.

The government tested and provided the time to do the ban , but the procedure was actually made not to push much to the bitcoin where it was .where the government actually gave taxes to this and made regulatory its banned from people who are possible to find a way or other than the use of the unknown .its does not really banned the bitcoin.its just gets it how or to whom it starts to all work here in bitcoin and to prevent everyone will try all and to make it happen how yo started the banned rules .when all else needs to have any procedure to regulate the price by anyone ..

I printed out a paper copy only. I then made a few copies and have it stored in various locations..... even took a copy to work.

have you heard of copy-paste? i never enter the long key, just use the copy-paste feature from your phone.

why is that? it's just an additional credentials for login or trading. it can be disabled anytime.

Maybe I'm late to the party, but I've been searching for a thread where I can post a specific question about Google Authenticator, and this thread looks like a good bet.
I am looking for an application that I can access from a pc, without downloading anything, where I can input a Google Authenticator code, and get the one-time password.
Something like this:  http://gauth.apps.gbraad.nl/    would be ideal, except that it only works with sixteen-character codes.  If you input a Google Auth key that's longer than sixteen characters, that app puts out the wrong OTP.  A lot of services use Gauth keys that are longer than sixteen characters: Gmail does, for example, as do several crypto exchanges.  So I'm looking for an online app that gives correct OTP for any Google Auth code, not just the raw 16-character keys.
Why, you might ask, would I want to find a web-based application where I have to paste in the secret key for a Google Authenticator account?  Partly out of curiosity, but I can also describe a situation where it makes some sense to do that.
The scenario:  I am overseas, I go to the American Consulate, which has free computers.  But the consulate requires visitors to surrender all electronic devices.  So I have to log into my Gmail without my smartphone.  I need a web based app where I can type in the key of the Google Authenticator account that secures my Gmail and get the OTP -- then I can log in.  I am willing to take the associated risk, which is fairly minor, in order to access my Gmail.
And actually, this is my situation today.
