This is a coin which was launched in Nov 2017 by a UK company called "Online Blockchain PLC".
It is designed to be used as a social media currency with an initial application of up-voting posts and threads on various stock market forums.

The devs are not very communicative ...

Nothing has been stated but there are several addresses which were populated with a large amount of coins right at the beginning of the chain's life.

There is only one known pool at this point, which may be run by the company. It's hard to tell as there is no way to contact the pool runner.

Gosh, so many reasons to sign up.

All kidding aside, appreciate your making an ANN to inform this community.  I'm a little put off by the 23k+ blockheight already, but maybe some miners will be interested.  Good luck!

As it says in the header I am not a dev. I am just making the crypto community aware of the coin's existence, as the people behind it don't seem to feel the need to do so. The coin has been in the public domain since mid November, it just wasn't announced in the "crypto-sphere". I only discovered it a few days ago by chance.

The pre-mine is about 20% of the total coin supply. Obviously it's a much bigger percentage of the current supply, but not 92%.

As the mining difficulty is still very low I am mining it despite the strange way it has been launched because of the commercial adoption.

I have been running the wallet on Windows and Linux for a few days now with no problems. I had to compile it for Linux. It's basically the Bitcoin QT wallet.

The company only seem to want to communicate with their existing subscriber base on ADVFN and not the wider crypto community. I don't know why.
