Edit: Ah, nevermind.

Good job!

why can i not deposit on btc38.com?
ZcCoin was bothered for quite a long time by the POW orphan issue, and that's the reason why btc38 and bter suspended the deposit.
I'd like to clarify that this is the common issue for both YAC and ZCC, but ZCC was the first to discover this problem.
YAC just released their 0.4.2 hardfork to solve this problem. I'd like to mention that YAC was once suspended by Cryptsy due to this problem too.
We have just released our hardfork 0.5.2 following YAC to solve this issue today.

Finally, I'd like to say the idea of YAC is awesome, but there are also many problems. As you could see, there are not too many YAC altcoins survived until now and we are proud that ZCC has been with YAC for such a long time and we will work together with YAC more in the future.

Wallet still seems to just crawl in the background using a full, 4.25 ghz core for hours before it launches.

Hours? Seriously?
I'd like to see that the start up time has been reduced from 20 mins to 4~5 mins on my laptop.

Sorry, I've judged too quickly.
It did took 2-3 hours, but now it started in a couple of minutes!

Is there a ZcCoin wallet for linux?
Sorry, no qt-wallet for Linux for now, and most of Linux guys use zccoind compiled from source.
Qt-wallets for Linux and Mac are on schedule, but yet not done

not really for now, but hopefully btc38 and bter could resume ZCC ASAP. By the way, Cryptsy might reopen ZCC later.
The hardfork has been done, but may need some time to double check.
Thanks for your support.

The first one looks dead--no miners. So the entire network hashrate is represented by one pool?

The Nfactor just increased from 13 to 14, and there are not too many miners for now cause they are adjusting their parameters.
Keep an eye on these three pools, and there will be balance between them later.

Yes, it is scrypt-jane algorithm with Nfactor 14. Be careful to choose your cgminer.
