(YABP - Yet Another Bitcoin Pool)

I'm just wondering if it's worth starting a pool. There are so many, but in terms of marketing, there are alot of MH/s available out there. Is it worth educating or training new users that have never heard of Bitcoin ? I have the resources and time, but I'm not sure the ROI is still there.

The only advantage I see now, is picking and choosing from the popular pools features.

I would say it's only worth it if you've something unique to offer that other pools are missing. If you see a void that needs filled, then by all means, absolutely it is worth it.

I agree with you totally.. but what is that void. Either a marketing side (ie. tapping new people) or coming up with some new scheme that looks more appealing.

Open to suggestions Wink

I would say no it's not worth it.  Most of the new pools have very slow growth.  It seems new people just want to jump onto the biggest pools as fast as possible without any sort of reasoning behind it.  With the pool market starting to get saturated you need either a lot of new and unique features or killer marketing.
