Hoping that the transactions fees will come back to normal, I’m a little bit afraid that there will come a time that it will be on par with bitcoin when it comes to transaction fees.

I use maximum Gwei now for all my Eth transactions. I hate my Eth getting stuck so don't take any chances. I use 60 Gwei and around 120k gas to move Eth or other tokens around. I know it's a bit pricey but think about it, Eth is now sitting at over 1k USD so it's natural that the gas price will go up accordingly. It's still far cheaper than Bitcoin transfer prices at least. So we aren't doing too badly. Just best not to move around a too low amount of tokens or Eth.
With such a trend, all airdrops are doomed. Usually there are few tokens in them and their cost is relatively small. I think that everyone will reduce the cost of translations by reducing gwei.

Could be the number of ICO's happening at the moment, so the Ethereum network is clogged with transactions. Or maybe it is the fact that Ethereum hit $1000, so many people are FOMO-ing and buying into Ethereum and transferring it to their wallets, or the other way around and selling it instead.

Is it possible to soon use Ether, will it be as costly as Bitcoin?
With its giant commissions and a very long time of transaction confirmation!

I think GAS eth has increased significantly over the next few years. with expensive GAS settings bias the transaction can run quickly and there is no delay. it happens because a lot of ETH transactions that take place every day.

With all the ICOs and Eths price increase i guess it can be expected. The price still isn't to bad. just up your Gwei and gas to get the transaction through.

This is always happening eth gas are very expensive lately. Eth network too slow to process, maybe of too many users of this network. Well lets just hope they will make a resolution on this problem.

I think it's because of heavy traffic on blockchain. Few days ago I sent Ethereum to my friend at standard gas price and it took almost 3 days to complete the transaction. I increased the gas price from 10 Gwei to 60 Gwei and transaction processed very much quickly. If you want transaction processing fast, you better increase the gas price. Otherwise you will be struck in trouble.
