Now is the time for etherium to prove itself become stronger than other cryptocurrency amd prove itself become the closest bitcoin competitor. $2k in february i think still a big chance. Let see what happen.

I can say yes because as we all can see the number of the transactions made in Ethereum is growing day by day = that means the market cap of the ethereum is growing to = price go up.

I would prefer market to stabilize.
Right now speculation brings in wrong kind of people.
If price would stay stable, it will give incentive to build actual businesses that would generate profit.
But if it goes up to 2K ill be in frist row with the beer celebrating.

I'm thinking $2K might be a stretch, but the upcoming fork is definitely having a positive impact on the price of ethereum. If the price can manage to push past the resistance point around $1K, I'm thinking sudden increases are definitely not out of the question.

I think it's possible yes, I am going to keep holding my ETH ! Even if it reach 5000$ because I think one day ETH will be bigger than bitcoin, the flippening can happen because bitcoin is very slow right now

I think its very possible for ETH to cross 2k by February because of the large adoption of the coin. The future of ETH is bright and I see it go above 2k before the end of 2018.

Eth just proving itself and don't wanna left behind after it surpasses by xrp in coin market cap. This will be just the start for something big and proves he's still the top 2 crypto currency.

I'm very confident on the growth of ETH for this year. Even if, in my mind, it will not reach BTC before a long time because of the fact that BTC is the face of cryptocurrency for the world. But ETH has serious argument to growth (smart contrat, ICO using ETH ...)

My prediction for this year was :
Worst case : 1250$ (maybe up to 2k$ then break to less than 1k$ to go up)
Best case : 2000$

Seeing this threat, get my prediction up for this year. Up to 3000/5000$ at the end of the year

To answer the threat : I see more a 1500$ for February and 2000$ for march, then going down in april at 1250$ then going up again to goal at 3000$ for summer.
(Not much stats/maths ... behind my prediction, only intuition and watching the last year and last month, so don't rely to it without making your own studies)

That's possible since eth is also a strong cryptocurrency and a potential coin next to bitcoin.Hopefully its will reach 2k USD or more and I'm looking forward for its increase 'cause I'm also holding eth for I perceive a potential on this coin that soon it's value will pump higher like bitcoin does.

I believe 2k is very possible for ethereum but not in February as it looks a bit early to me somehow. I would predict more like April-May for 2K. Ether used to struggle at certain resistance levels before increasing.

I personally feel that it may be hard for ETH to reach $2,000, and if bitcoin doesn't go up further, then ETH will be almost impossible to reach $2,000.

True. As many coins in the past second one always follow bitcoin in price. If ETH need to be 2000 or more bitcoin need to ge up in price so this could be really possible to accomplish for Ethereum. Considering that price is close to 1000 believe it quite possible that we could see 2k price soon also think that bitcoin price have to be bigger then current one. Both need to cooperate on this one.

This is very possible to touch $2k for ethereum, yes I also beleive on ethereum to be the most coin this year. Im still holding my ethereum because maybe we can see price at $2k. I hope this will touch if this will happen all of us can be happy.

I guess ETH will be trading at $400-$500 levels by the end of February. I have been noticing the price movements of ETH and XRP for the past few days. It is very much clear that some big players are engaging in pump and dump. The pumping phase is over now. I am waiting for the dump, which is going to happen in the next few days.

from what i see, Ethereum pumping is because of the forking. so i don't think it'll hit $2k, maybe it'll go back to $500

too fast for february. maybe in february it will reach 1500 USD. because of the availability of etherum in the market, is not limited. so the etherum will not rise too fast.

Well ethereum increased a lot lately and it doesn’t look like it’s going to stop but i can’t say it can increase %100 in one month. It also depends on how bitcoin is doing. I’m expecting it to reach 1.5k max.
