I just joined this forum after some time I was just reading. I'm searching for a coin to invest in that is not already super hyped but still looks promising. any ideas?

Probably everyone is looking for promising coins. I do not know about investing in long-term investments, but I'm going to speculate, I can say that now is the time. Nevertheless, I think that we need to look for investment young promising coins, which will give a lot of X's. But, there are also a lot of risks.

Look for coins that are undervalued and to do this compare against similar coins in the market. Since RaiBlocks and IOTA has blown up recently it leads me to believe Byteball may do similar things, but DYOR prior to getting involved on any coin.

Coins that don't have that much hype is going to die down sooner or later. If you visit CoinMarketCap and look at the daily volume then base it off that plus the hype.

I personally like amb, powr and cobs but to be frank they are already pumped somewhat, the new ones still at good price are snov and storm, do check them out.

I understand what op means and intend - coins that are not well known yet but will do well.

Look at XP, I also think NEM will do well. NEM is already at $1.68 today as against $0.96 on the last day of 2017. Xaurum will also do well at the long run. Good luck

Now bitcoin is falling and altcoins are under correction, so it's a good chance to buy some coins. I recommend you the lowest ones. For example, something like Cardano, Power and Stratis. Good luck!

I would say SONM is not hyped at all and its very undervalued. Thy have a working product and much better than golom still way to below in market cap.

One of my favorites is Viacoin. Started by one of the Bitcoin Core developers btcdrak. a couple of years ago the project was taken over by Romano and from what I've heard currently he has some really big news and he's just waiting for a good time to share it with everyone so expecting a large pump in price.
