Over the past weeks I’ve registered with three CryptoCurtency Exchanges: Kraken, Bitstamp and CEX.IO

All sent an apology for the delay in verifying my account due to high load. In the end, I only got clearance from CEX.IO and I immediately funded my account and bought XRP today.

To my surprise I found that while XRP is trading in the $3.1 - $3.2 range on CEX.IO it was trading at $2.7 to $2.8 on other websites like Bitstamp. I checked BTC/USD and found CEX.IO is 1000 USD more than other sites!!!

I issued on CEO.IO a support ticket with screen shots from my iPad proving my case and still didn’t hear from them yet.

Am I missing anything? Or is CEX.IO a scam?

Thank you in advance.

Why you didn’t withdraw back to your Visa?

I’m considering withdrawing my money now back to my VISA and move to another exchange. I read that withdrawing back to CC is fast not like WT.

Sent you a PM already with the details despite the fact that I issued a ticket yesterday with screen shots.

And still your website is 10% higher than other exchanges till now. That’s a rip off.

About three years ago I deposited some Bitcoin into their cloud-mining, with the guarantee of increased coinage.

Lost all my Btc, so YES,

cex.io is a FUCKIN SCAM setup!!!

Thoroughly dishonest low-life vermin

Is it not amazing? That in the sub-micro world of the atom, quantum physics requires the perpetual motion of particles with both spin and orbital motions.

Yet in the macro world, mainstream science is based upon the law that a perpetual motion machine is absolutely impossible!

This is the embarrassing state of today's science...

Two months ago, on the 29th of November, I placed a sell-order for approx. 1 BTC. Cex.io charged me a transaction fee of over $600(!) for the sale.

According to their Refund policy, "CEX.IO guarantees to any its User his/her right for refund, in case if such User is not satisfied with the quality of the provided Services."
"All requests for Refund will only be accepted where notice is received by CEX.IO no later than forty-eight (48) hours after made Transaction."

"In order to apply for a Refund/Return, the User must request and complete a Refund Form/Return Form and send the respective form to the CEX.IO support address."

However, the refund form is not available anywhere, and "You can obtain the Refund/Return Form under request sent to support@cex.io."

I requested the form two months ago. Have not received it. I have opened several tickets (eg. 468518) and tried to contact cex.io to no avail. I have only received a few automated replies telling me my request has been received..

Avoid at all cost. Cex.io is bullshit and a huge scam.

I tried to register for a service but seems this is not possible. The message appears, registration of new users is temporarily disabled. Is there any particular reason for that?
But on the other hand now that I read about all this scam accusations I'm having the second thoughts.

I recently joined CEX and I can tell you the solution to one problem, lack of withdrawal confirmation email. I use yahoomail so it may only apply to that one. Though other notifications arrive in my normal inbox, for some reason the withdrawal email went to the spam folder. They're only good for 30 minutes so if you don't look in there and find it then the withdrawal just never goes through. I never saw any reviews mention this. You just don't think to look in spam because all the other notifications went in the main box. I thought I was getting scammed at first. Spam doesn't show up in the new mail count so you just think no mail came in. The transfer hasn't actually gone through yet but at least it says it's processing so I assume it will go through. I'll post again if it doesn't. Also, after the withdrawal was confirmed and it was processing, a notification came confirming the withdrawal and it came in the main inbox. So it's just the withdrawal confirmation email that goes to spam, for some mysterious reason.

BTW another thing about CEX is that they require full confirmations before coin deposits will become available. That means 20 for BCH, which is the only coin I tried to deposit yet. I was waiting around for about 4 hours. Why not 6 confirmations instead of a full 20? 6 is recommended as being safe by most references. But the long confirmation time and email going to spam were the only glitches for me so far. Verification was easy. I uploaded the pics and as soon as I clicked to submit it I was verified. I don't see how anyone even had time to look at the pics. It was like instant verification. Some may say that makes it look scammy, like they really just verify anyone to get their money. I don't know. It was weird but I'm not complaining. Maybe they hired more people or something. Others have complained about slow verification in the past. Maybe the workers got really fast at looking at the pics, who knows.

What I found attractive about CEX is that they only charge $3.80 for CC withdrawals. Most places charge a percentage, like 3% or more. A $3.80 flat fee is the best withdrawal deal I've seen in exchanges. Beats bank transfer/wire or whatever, at least for relatively small amounts. For $1000 that's only 0.38% for instance. You can actually retain some profits with that kind of low fee. Not easy to squeeze a few percentages of profit from a trade so every percent you can save in the process is crucial.
