The use of blockchain is what takes such an idea to the next level.
Blockchain allows you to:

1 - protection photographers copyright's much easier as all uploaded photographs are hashed and stored in the blockchain. A photos movement through the blockchain is easily detectable and ownership is fully traceable
2 - use of a token allows payouts to photographers to be done in seconds. This is comparable to days, weeks and months of other projects.
3 - blockchain cuts out all the unnecessary bureaucratic and slow processes that end up as costs to the photographer. We only charge a 5% fee, meaning photographers receive 95% of their revenue. The 5% fee is mostly reinvested into the platform for the moderation, maintenance and upkeep. The rest of the funds are used to pay for essential services.

How are you guys different from your competitors? There are few of photography projects coming up and I'd like to know what would make a customer choose you over the others.

There are many things that make us different from other projects that are entering the photography space:
1 - we have designed our whole product to be centred around the photographer and their works. in every aspect of the photography trading process we have leveraged technology to streamline the process in favour of the photography
2 - we have focussed on digital copyright protection. Many other projects have not done this and offer no extensive way for photographers to guarantee copyright protection. This was one of our main pillars from the start and today, as you can see across our channels, we have announced a very strategic partnership with Copytrack, a company that has existed in the copyright market for several years now in order to amplify our copyright protection
3 - our team consists of professionals with a wide background in many different areas. these expertise all come together and cover all skills that are needed in order to run a success ICO and business.
4 - in addition to number 3, our advisors include some very experienced individuals, covering all aspects of the project's needs both pre-ICO and post-ICO. On this front, later this week we will announce our latest advisor, a very well known name in the blockchain space who sees our potential too.
5 - we are advised by Swisscom Blockchain. They are a very well known, very professional Blockchain advisory service. They picked us to for them to work with us, not the other way around. They see the potential in what we plan to offer that they don't see in other projects.
6 - we won 3rd place at the Blockchain Leadership Summit. Our product offering (by showing our Demo) is miles ahead of what anybody else has and the judges (who were very experienced blockchain individuals) agreed completely.

Thank you clairewarwick7866! Our immediate objective is to push as much as possible for a successful ICO. Then we can focus on our development - we already have the development team in place. We also already have a massive interest from the photography community as of course the platform largely benefits them. Then we just need to market the product - but inevitably it will grow organically through word of mouth by photographers as they can see the benefits we will have for them.

But in short, Photochain was the vision of CEO Stanislav Stolberg, who says “As a hobby photographer, I found the incumbent photostocks just far too difficult to navigate. Too many rules and restrictions made me not want to use them, as I felt I was not able to share my photos how I wanted to. As a keen technologist, blockchain immediately jumped out to me as the answer.”
