Absolutely, and I'm glad to not be alone! Actually, I'm addicted to forex, and I?m just a beginner in crypto, but I can predict that this will be my next mania... :-)))))

I see, I also consider myself as addicted to bitcoin and wants to know everything because I indulge myself so I guess I have to gather information about it. May we don't even know the future yet but we all knew that their is a future in bitoin because it changes a life and gives graces. I wanted to have a lot of cryptocurrencies because I wanted to save for the future needs.

Do you ever feel like you're overly obsessed with cryptocurrencies or trading/investing in general?
Personally, I'm fairly satisfied with my investments/decisions so far but yet I'm looking for market opportunities most of the time. I think that's mainly because of the fact that majority of my time browsing the internet I watch related content. I'm passionate quite passionate about it.

Over time it kinda makes me feel depressed that I don't make as much as I possibly could or others have better scores (some unhealthy jealousy I guess?), so this "paper-chasing" has become a target itself.

When I want to take a break from all this stuff for let's say a month or week at least then I'm not able to because I'm afraid that I will miss out on something.
On the one hand, I have made investments in projects I believe in so I could leave it for few months even and then back but at the other hand, I'm still not quite sure about my diversification so I keep watching the market.

Can anyone relate?

I can say that we are the same, im so obsessed with trading cryptocurrency and investing in an ICO. Every new opportunity that i see it excites me everytime. In my daily routine even if i am eating foods or before i go to bed, i still think about crypto. Is it still normal? Cheesy

That's true and really like me. Believe or not, at the beginning 2017 when I know about bitcoin I spend almost 10 hours a day to make money from trading bitcoin. When I got income, I spend more time and never let my device away from my side. For now, I decides to change everything about me when face bitcoin and maybe change trading become investment. I feel better when see bitcoin market and as long I get income it's worth to be done.

In my case, it's not quite an addiction but rather a new sort of tamagotchi: It required us to look at it very often and feed it with information.

It’s also a time resource shifter: where one would be previously be reading press and looking into bank deposits now on feels the urge to keep track of crypto news.

Additionally it brings back social network habbits, which I had deliberately started to set aside: having stopped using facebook, one now starts checking telegram and this forum often as if one was a teenager again.

There is a certain level of addiction in cryptocurrency whenever you are totally hooked up with it already. But this is not just in crypto. Whenever a certain person has already developed a high level of passion in everything that he does, the tendency is that you will become so much attached to it that you will find yourself hard to get out from it. Like me, I cannot easily get my eyes away from coin prices and from the updates coming from this forum and my coins' social media account.
Not only just on cryptocurrencies but all the things that are on excess or do already make it as a hobby and been focused too much of all of your time can really be considered as an addiction and even myself can be considered to be on this state because ive been watching prices all of the time specially on the coins that I'm holding and I'm sure lots of people do feel the same on this crypto craze. Cool
I really feel the same way too.My day won't be complete without checking updates on the cryptos that i had invested particularly on its price whether it goes up or down again.Maybe this is just a usual scenario for all of us holders or investors because we want to be updated on all its movement so we can maximize our profit at all times.
How I become means whenever I get free time 1st thing is I will open safari on my phone and I bookmarked coinmarketcap I just open and see my coins price. I think my mind will not let me surf anything before checking coinmarketcap. maybe I am addicted? am not sure.
Having the same behavior too when it comes to daily basis which i do always check out prices on CMC.I cant say this is an addiction but its a part of the daily routine in my life since im an investor or hodler which i do normally check out prices because im wanting on making profits on the coins do i hold. There might be some feeling of addiction but its a good one since we are involving on making money not just on wasting up money.

I can relate, I think it is the greed that triggers the obsession since you are afraid to miss out certain opportunity.  I was once like these but somehow I managed to move on leaving this kind of attitude.  Honestly we cannot cover everything no matter how hard we try, It would be best if we enjoy investing or trading cryptocurrency while having time to relax and treat ourselves of our hard earned money.   That is the reason why we are working anyway.

You'll also be love with crypto trading like you are addict on forex trading bcoz it also happened to me, almost every day I'm in cryptocurrency market, open many tabs for many exchange sites in 1 browser, then I start seeing some altcoins to buy for a certain period of time, and if there is a price difference then I do arbitrage, and many other trading activities every day and I think I became an addict, I realized that when I went on vacation, because what I always think is about my work on cryptocurrency lol

Because crypto made trading so easy for every user to do it became a problem for those who are getting easy addicted by activities that prommise easy money.
Those who have gambling addiction might develop an addiction with trading because is is a fine line betweeen the two. I advice those who know to have this kind of problems to stay away from crypto or assign someone to manage theyr portofolio because it could wuin them.

I have a friend who got over his gambling addiction after loosing all the money, car, house and famlily. He was clean for 3 year and the got into crypto trading. This was a slope that got him to gamble again and invest money he can not afford. The difference is that now the admited he has a problem and is getting treatment for this.

So my advice is to be very carrefull about this game. Dont let it ruin your life and dont be ashamed to get help.
Gambling is a total different ball game and anyone in this sort of environment looking for money, is definitely not making the right call, because they will never find it. However, when relating what the OP said to general investment, the idea of making use of every opportunity, waking up every day and expecting something new all makes it ball down to the fact that we all want to be part of an existing future.

The truth is that no one wants to miss out, and even if I find myself in the crypto investment world a huge percentage of the time, I will only count it as being smart and not addicted.

I think that it is sort of the same as a gambling addiction though. You get addicted to gambling because you're basically triggering the reward center in your brain each time you 'roll the dice'.
Same could be said about trading, I'm sure that day traders can really get addicted to the thrill of making a big amount of profit in a short amount of time.

Your brain doesn't care if you're gambling or trading, it only cares about getting that sweet release of chemicals.

This is happening with me all the time. I mean if we look at the opportunities then they all need our time 24/7 and whole month without any glitch. Im sure that this happens with every person that works on the forum. Obviously it is addictive because the feeling of getting weekly payments into your account is the best thing ever which I believe and share with my family as well. Now I am very desperate about my job, if go aways for a week or something then I could miss good earning opportunity which might come along as signature campaign or video contest for the instance! Anything that I do has got value now so its important to stay up to date with this forum and keep an eye! Yes agree with you fully.

From the part of yes - there is dependence. Sometimes you miss one day of trading, or just do not go read the news and already in my head something is not right ... then think what you could do yesterday, and competitors are not sleeping.

In the early days I experienced this even reducing my rest time, I want that more and more profits that I think about. But lately I cured myself and no longer behave like that. I think it will make me sick if it keeps reducing my break time. So I do long-term trading.

Quite funny on how these things work. It seems like an addiction. I also feel the same way. There was a time I left Bitcoin and that was around 2015 or 2016 due to the price not favoring me the way I wanted it. After I left, it happened that the price took a fall, giving an opportunity to those that had patience and then took a run for a higher price. Since then, I never take a break again, I’m always ON. It’s like an addiction indeed.

All the activities which are enforcing you to spend more time with them definitely will lead to addiction. No exception with trading. We all need to be more careful to handle our depression as well as excitement so that we can avoid addiction with anything hence with trading too. Most of the times, the earning opportunities with unlimited potential or easy money making opportunities are easily giving addictions. But fortunately trading is profitable even it gives addiction.

Do you ever feel like you're overly obsessed with cryptocurrencies or trading/investing in general?
Yeah especially when I started to earn in my investment because at first I thought it was easy, just hold and wait then sell if you reach the target price. I became obsessed wanting to have more and set aside the risk involved in this kind of income. However as time passes and when I learned how to trade, I realized to not attach yourself too much and better to take it slowly and have less expectation so whatever the outcome is you can handle the situation.

For me personally, crypto currency is my favorite business. And your favorite business (for which you also pay well) you can do it forever. If I get tired, then I take a break and rest food. And then again doing my favorite thing. And I will not say that this is a dependence. Although in some ways you can say so.

I can relate to this lol  Cheesy
just like what other say, there is a perfect moment for everyone, not all can achieve what others attain or earned from cryptocurrency especially for those people that was into trading this currency at its early stage, i believe the market is still young and has a lot of room to develop and improve so don't lose hope, we will take profits as well soon Smiley

Well 2017 was different because it was like madness and frenzy specially around December when bitcoin peaked at almost $20K. Everyone has totally glued to their seat (including me) to watch and monitor how much we are gaining like everyday.

However, I'm over my addiction on the market watch. I seldom checked the price and will just glance at it and make several adjustments on my investments specially my trading activity.

But for those who are addiction, you can't blame them. But its not as addicted as gambling though. Its no way comparable. At least in crypto you have the possibility to make a lot of money as compare to gambling which we all know that you will lose everything at the end.
