So I just got my antminer s9 jan batch shipped a bit earlier.
I had it running for about 27hrs and then this happened!

I've contacted bitmain but they are quite busy atm. I've searched for a replacement fan online but I can't find the same
model. I've ordered one from bitmain but it can take up to 20 days before they ship a single fan :-(
Has any one experienced this fatal error before if so how did you go about fixing it?

You don’t need the exact same fan. Going on eBay and searching “S9 fan” or “replacement S9 fan” yields many results and those fans will work for the most part. They should be rated for around 6000RPM and will be 120mm. Just make sure the one you choose isn’t shipping from China and you should be fine.

I will try that again. I bought a replacement fan a few months back it was by Delta but this just doesn't work.

I guess it is a good idea to buy 2 or 3 spare fans and keep it juz in case

Selling 100 dollar coupons (8units expire 11th June, 14 units expire 1st july) and 125 dollar coupon (2 unit exp 30th June). Selling at 20% of value

Oh Yes! Lesson learned, I've gotta a few extra fans now and I'm ordering a spare control board and a couple of PSU as well.
