I have tried investing in ICOs before. But then, this is the few tactics i employ anytime i wish to participate in a bounty project to support the ICO of a project.
1. I look out for the total number of tokens the wish to give out tot the public and the one the wish to keep for the dev team and the development of the project
2. Look out for the quantity of the token to ethereum equivalent
3. Double check the goal and mission of the project
4. The authenticity of the credential of the dev team

In choosing the best ICO, you must read and understand the project's white paper. The most important is the team behind the project. If they are reliable in the field of cryptocurrency, the ICO will succeed, because it has a very great team.

Choosing a good ICO is not that easy. You have to consider a lot of factors like transparency, uniqueness, and usefullness. To have a better understanding of the ICO, one should check their whitepaper, their website, and the people behind the project if they really exist. You can also check their rating in several ICO monitoring sites for your reference.

First of all, good ICO should have a big and experienced team. Their also product is very important because they should offer a solution to a problem or can be used by many people. You may follow some experts or bitcointalk members to find good ICO but you should make own research.

To choose a good ICO I think you should analyze the project very deeply, especially the whitepaper, project feasibility and important for me is the project development team and partner

Right about now, The key element to to consider should always be the team. A strong team of experts are key to success in every business. Then, think about the problems the solve, ask your self questions like that. Lastly, Its good to consider Their token supply. The lesser the supply the higher the demand.  Tongue Tongue

Yes I strongly agree on that , if we are going to choose an ICO we must see the experience of the team and it's past success because there are so many scam ico on the feild and we can be possibly being victimized by them of we are not careful to choose. I believe that if we choose the experience team we can possibly also choose the amazing ico.

It is all luck, becos good ICO will surely have a lot of bounty hunters that will participate.  The quantity to receive will still be peanut at end of the campaign

If you want to invest in a project at the stage of the IKO, then I advise you to look for projects that do not spend bounty, the chance for such a project to enter the exchange is much higher because it already has investors.
Projects will not give you all the money that you want though they should be able to make you enough money if it's legit.

I use sites with ratings from professionals. Especially cool when they justify their estimates. The more good reviews, the more I will trust the project

They are not enough now. The market was captivated by swindlers, but nevertheless it is possible to find good, honest projects. You need to look at the idea of the project if there is a problem and the team proposes the solution, it is the good project.

yeah team , product , promotions and token economics are the main things to check but at first we can look for popular ICOs and ICOs which have more good reviews and filter them with an ICO listing site . so we can study that ICOs for further more

How to choose a good ICO, there are a lot of ways or means through which you can choose your ICO from but if you need a good, outstanding and geniue ICO worth investing in, I suggest you pick it from bitcointalk, moreover you should read a lot about the project including whitepaper and roadmap.

In my opinion, it is better to make your own research and trust your guts.

The most of the privacy coins are undervalued right now.

The best opportunity is to find a privacy-related project with a low total supply (less than 100M), that way the price will be increasing much faster.

I recently found a hidden GEM called Ethereum Meta, it is related to anonymity and untraceable transaction. They have a very interesting project to build the Anonymous E-Market Place.

They are already trading on exchanges, you can check their website: https://ethermeta.com/
Or even better go through their Bitcointalk thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2659058.0

There are many ICO projects on the market that are basically a scam. Finding quality ICO projects requires us to study carefully. Before investing in ICO projects, I will carefully read the ICO project white papers, roadmaps, and judge ICO's ideas by studying their work products. Is it achievable and has a deep understanding of his work team, so if you want to choose a good ICO, you have to take the time to study it deeply.

to choose a good ICO try to research about features of the ICO which attracts more investors, read content of the whitepaper, roadmap which determine what will be their next step towards to their goals, also you can how many members in twitter, facebook and telegram

That is true, but i dont agree at all! There are some icos that are good enough to invest and put some money in! Most of them are being succesfull after all. If i am not wrong, all the icos during the last year raised more than 20 - 30 million dollars each

LOL, you just see the large, hype projects, you didn't know there're many scam, failed projects in the last year.
Even raised funds in the crowdsale can be huge amount as you said, but there're also many hype projects failed in the last year.
Monetha, AirToken, Centra, KICKICO, MobileGo, etc. many failed projects still under the ICO value.
to select the ICO should read the explanations found in the Whitepaper that is provided on each of the ICO.
so to be able to produce a nice FAVICON.ICO and benefit and get ICO which is nice.

If you compare few months back and now, number of the promising ICOs have dropped to some extent. In Crypto field or not, when you are going to do an investment, there are lot of things you should do. Take your time, ICOs display messages to urge you to invest, but do not get caught by their traps. You can never be 100% sure about getting your money's worth. Just listen to the voice of reason. Good team is a big plus, like someone who has a ton of experience in blockhain. Or, if the ICO is relevant to some other industry, people with a ton of experience in that particlular sphere. Going to ICO  read the Whitepaper , Join  ICO Social Media  like Bitcointalk Forum , Telegram , Twitter so you can check how much active admin there and their Response so you can get idea about  project.

Yes it's been one of the best ways to find good ico. and if I might add, I usually see how the development of the project, how the sales from that project, and I also sometimes see how much people are enthusiastic about the progress of the project.
