EcoCoin is a crypto-currency based on PPC (Peercoin) using scrypt-jane with a combined PoW/PoS scheme. This currency has been developed serving the need of new ecologic solutions.

Getting Started:
1. Start up ecocoin-qt, wait for it to load, then exit.
2. Put ecocoin.conf (see sample file above) in your c:/users/**yourcomputername**/appdata/roaming/EcoCoin
3. restart ecocoin-qt, and you should connect and sync.

As your first impression is yet +1 of those rather common points of view, yes new programming and code for an alt-coin are really something valuable, but at this point cloning this PoS system is enough to build a stable market. Our Crypto code development is scheduled for mid September.

In theory, you are making a logical point here, but isn't mining for bounties and pre-dev a counter-logic?
If the work is to be well done, mining less than 1% shouldn't be a concern.
