There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

A. Not all crypto coins are 'Bitcoin' nor is Bitcoin a generic term for the other coins. BTC is 1 specific coin, all other coins are called altcoins.
B. Blokforge.com has a good page on what is/how to.  https://blokforge.com/getting-started/

Unfortunately you wouldn't be able make any profit at all. The best thing to do is focusing on altcoins as the others have stated above. There are some with pretty low market cap and a lot of blocks to be mined. You could try your luck there.

You could look at for DigiByte and Electroneum. I think with a fair setup you might be able to mine some.

1. They're bullshitting you. The S9 - which is a bitcoin miner - makes good money.

2. They are right in the sense that you'll make more money if you go with an altcoin miner such as the L3+ which can mine a variety of coins.

The things you might wanna know about mining is that it is actually a trade, for example if you started a mine it will get a bonus in your bill, electricity bill, but you will gain a lot than your bill so you still win
