I've let bitcoin-qt (8.3) run for over a week & a half it's still 238 behind
I guess the windows version does NOT WORK
the mac version was all synced up in a couple days
the last version 7 synced up in a couple days
none of the version 8 for windows will sync on my windows 7, I've tried 8.1, 8.2 and 8.3

 No, Bitcoin-qt doesn't work on Windows 7 at all. That's why I'm running it along with a P2pool node running off the backend of Bitcoin-qt. On Windows 7. It works perfectly on Windows 8 and Windows 8.1. It also works perfectly on Windows Vista. Before you start talking shite, try fixing your install, your internet, or whatever is wrong with YOUR installation, and not with anyone else's.

Right, so the problem was something wrong with your install, not something inherent in Win7 itself. That's what HellDiver said, and you called him and ignorant child. Try being a lil nicer next time. |

It works fine for me too and actually downloads the blockchain really fast, compared the 3.2.1 version that I recently upgraded from.
However it does use about 50% of my CPU. Anyone else see that?

Edit: Oops, I'm using 8.1 on the machine where it's consuming 50% CPU.

You mean when I'm actively solo mining? My client is in server mode and the last in my failover list, but I'm not actively solo mining against it and work shouldn't be leaking to it with stratum. |

So you mean when the blockchain is being downloaded or when a new block is found? Anyway I just rebooted my machine and it isn't consuming allot of CPU anymore. Oh the joy of Windoze. |
