Bitcoin is currently hard-capped and can't gain value. When backlog reaches around 250,000 and fees rise to $50 the price crashes due to a pullback. You can only lose right now with Bitcoin. The problem is at the core, it has a bad governance model. Miners cannot be trusted to implement BTCs best interest. In 2018, BTC will lose its top spot.

I agree that bitcoin has encountered serious technical problems and this does not allow its price to rise further. But there is still the possibility of introducing lightning. Plus, if you think globally, then due to the inflation of conventional money, bitcoin will no doubt someday cost more than 20k.

The possibility is very large if we are based on price increases from November to December 2017, the increase is remarkable. Yes, transaction fee becomes one of the problems, besides related to the issue of legality and speculation of investors who divert their assets is also very bigger. If the problem can be solved, then in 2018 this bitcoin will easily reach $ 20000

Of course it will reach now is the time of correction.Nothing is forever not growing.

I don't think is correction we are seeing rather the correction time is over and bitcoin is about to take a break that will see the coin surpassing far above $20,000 on a bullish run before retracing back to $20,000. The bullish break is likely to come after it breaks $17,000.

Bitcoin will surely hit 20.000$ but the question is when. The price was stuck at 15.000$ until today when it finally increased to 16.000$. If it is going to continue like this bitcoin should reach 20.000$ in a week or so but I dont think that is going to happen so soon. Probably the price will slowly grow with a few hundred dollars a day and in February it will hit 20k for sure.

I think the fees have a major impact in bitcoins price because since last month they are pretty huge. In first days of 2018 the fees decreased a little from 900 satoshi/byte to 500 satoshi/byte but still for a regular transaction you have to pay at least 20$ to be sure that it is going to confirm in a few hours. This have to change because a lot of people cant make low transactions(lower than 100$) with the fee of 20$.

I think irrespective of the current price of Bitcoin, it will actually appreciate in price and get a lot of people to be surprise of  it and the best time to buy is now.

I think we will at least attempt to breach 2000 this year. It may happen or it may not, but there's so much positive attitude among investors that a run for another ATH should be expected. If we succeed it will probably mean another huge jump, maybe straight to 21000. If we don't we'll go back to retest the previous lows of 11000. Just the market doing its thing.

Bitcoin has already hit 20.000$ before Christmas and now on it is not a huge thing if it hits again, the real issue with btc nowdays is its dominance in marke t, it is falling sharply recently.

I used to believe so, but i doubt it right now. The processing fees are really high and that has discouraged the prospective investors and their likes. So the developers need to do something drastic now

The bitcoin price is always hard predictable. Nobody can give you exact answer if BTC will hit the 20k$ or not. If somebody tells you that he knows, he is a liar.  But it is really very possible without negative news. Im waiting the price of 20-21k$ next months and this goal is easy achievable.

Of course this is possible to think this was almost hit $20,000 last December with $400 left then it crashed. Probably it will hit this year as all traders are already back in the ranks after the holiday seasons. We should not speculate more higher value than $20k as the corrections is always standing by.

On my own point of view I think the value of bitcoin will hit 20000$ because as of now it increases again and we all know that bitcoin sometimes the value of its will rapidly increasing so I believe that bitcoin will reach 20000$ or higher than that amount this year.

Definitely think BTC will hit 20k, Bitcoin is far from the best coin out there, but it is the coin in which you measure the value of all other coins. Bitcoin  I think will work as cryto gold, a store of value.

Bitcoin will either make it's way up very quickly 3 weeks/days+ or it will take a break and land @ a safe zone around 8k.  
I think whatevery way is decided it will dominate either the Bitcoin or altcoin market for a longer period of time.

It's slowly going up, I think Bitcoin is gonna run for the 50-100.000$. It has potential and everyone uses it anyway. We will see what's gonna happen. Let's not forget that the BTC dominance on coinmarkecap is ~30%
