I started buying crypto on 23th December 2017 again - after a long period of waiting and hesitating.

I had my first bitcoin (5) in 2013 then got scared during the crash, sold and not thought about getting in again.

Now after a lot of researching, I took the decision to step back again into crypto. In my opinion there is a once in a life time chance to gain decent profit with a low invest.

Below is my final portfolio, which I'd like to hodl till end of 2018.

The focus is on growth chances. Apart from BTC and ETH all coins have medium or (really) small market caps.

All picks have been choosen on threads in this forum and on basis of an early portfolio review here - thanks to all members for sharing your views. On top of that I've researched a lot on this projects and I'm sure that every project has a bright and shiny future.

I would really appreciate your comments on my final choices.

Bitcoin (BTC)   6,82%
Ethereum (ETH)   11,69%
Quanstamp             5,99%
SONM             7,77%
Burst (BURST)     7,79%
ColossusCoinXT (COLX)      6,53%
VIBE (VIBE)                    10,54%
Oyster Pearl (PRL)    13,52%
Elixir (ELIX)                    17,43%
LUXCoin (LUX)              6,60%
Hubii Network (HBT)      0,96%
Payfair (PFR)              2,08%
Hawala (HAT)              2,27%

Profit since 23th December +60% so far.

Seems like a good portfolio.

Some risky plays and some good plays. I guess there is always a possibility to discuss about special pics...but looks good overall

I like it with some minor changes.

I already dumped ColossusCoinXT because I don't think it have a real future.

VIBE is 100% keeper and I would increase it share. 2018-2022 will be years of VR/AR.

Ok, agree with VIBE. Did you hear about the commercial during superbowl from Monster where someone wearing a vibe shirt (https://vibehub.io/) clearly visible. Also in this scene Joe Perry from Aerosmith - What a combination. This would be a real pusher for this project and technial background is great.

Why did you dump Colossus? I think privacy coins will have future but I did not like XSpec because it seems to be pushed to much and I missed the entry point.

I would increase the share of BTC in your portfolio. Now it looks risky. Remember , if BTC goes up very high  - altcoins will for sure fall down deep, at least the most of your coins from the list. So ,  if you have 30-40% of BTC  these situations are not dangerous for you. You always able to buy cheap alts with BTC. You will have more coins as results. CHeers!

To hold the bitcoin I'm sure. but altcoin is always influenced by the price of Bitcoin.
unless the coin is already reliable I dare to hold it.
for example ETH, XRP and LTC

I like the portfolio, there are some coins of which I do not know much but I have heard good things, since your goal is to grow your bitcoin then I suppose it was to be expected that you took some risks, but the fact that BTC and ETH consists of less than 20% of your portfolio is a little bit worrying to me since I am risk adverse, but that is a portfolio which will give you nice profits.

That's right, but I think minimum 50% in BTC would be better. Depends on you, if you can stand the situation when BTC pumps and alts fall.

I disagree here. I myself don't hold BTC at all. When BTC on the rise I do sell few altcoins just to prevent any more losses then after price stabilize I jump straight back to alts again. These falls are only temporarily and usually doesn't last long. Week hands get shaken and whales make millions of USD.

Agree. I strongly believe in a year of bigger growth in alts. Therefore there is only a limited share of Bitcoin in my portfolio.

I don't know what the future will bring. Maybe another x10 of Bitcoin. I think there is no reliable way to predict the 2018 market. My feeling says: ALTs - therefore I go for it. Better a bad and straight decision taken as spending the whole time between alts and btc.

Passive Coin - low supply coin with backing fund!

Interesting portfolio but ... I see some hyip and propaganda backed coins like ColossusCoinXT (COLX).

I do not see any "reliables" that could boost your long-term value like Waves, for example.
You should also include some coins that pay dividends like KuCoinShares and BridgeCoin, both included in my backing fund.
But, of course, every crypto-enthusiast have it's own vision of good portfolio. Smiley
Good luck then!

Quite a diverse portfolio you got there. I just don't like the Elixir 'lending' one with taking up 17,43% of your portfolio.

Loving PRL! Best of luck to you my friend, please make sure to check back with us in a year.

How often will you check your investment out of interest? There is a good app called blockfolio I use to keep a track of all my investments in one large chunk. Worth getting that or something similar to see how things are, if you are bothered.

The simpler it is, the better I like it

My portofolio for this year and i will do everything not to use this asset :
1. Exscudo / eon : have 16k in total probably will buy 10k more for setting masternodes when main net launch.
2. Idex from auroradao : i buy dvip for trading there because having dvip will give me free transaction fees and when aurora token launch i will stake it. We can get more token for staking.
3. Crypterium : completed package for cryptobanking and i will using it for daily use. Hard cap reach at ico and its mean developer will make complete banking for crypto such as : credit/lending , apps for merchant, NFC payment without plastic card,
4. Atlant : i dont see the development but maybe they will comes up with surprise. ( i still doubt it )

Looks like some solid choices.  You have less than 20% in the two big ones (Eth/Btc) and the rest are relatively small market caps.  So you will likely see a lot more price fluctuation.  Good luck.
