Hey there, New member here, trying to get a foot into the crypto world. I built myself a mining rig just to get the taste and I'm now trying to watch the markets, learning about alt coins and how/what to invest and all that. My questions for you guys are pretty straightforward, since I'm new, I have LOTS to learn and educate myself. - where do you get all your research from? (besides this site). I'm usually Google'ing things I want to know but I'm really looking for some reliable sources - I'm pretty interested in altcoins, how do you guys know what new tech is coming, what coins are getting a buzz (besides the coinmarketcap website trending charts). Are there any resources that publish news about future projects or upcoming alts? Super excited to be around you folks, any tips or resources are greatly appreciated, might buy a few beers for ya

Youtube I find is full of hit and miss information. This site is probably the best your going to get in terms of discussion. It's the biggest place to discuss all about cryptos. You could also read up on Bitcoin and why it was created. Most alt coins follow the path of Bitcoin.

Twitter is a good source for information. There are many people on what is known as Crypto Twitter that are helpful. DO NOT fall for the FOMO (Fear of missing out) or the FUD (Fear, Uncertainty, Doubt) that Twitter is loaded with. Start following people and if you find them useful stay with them. Unfollow the jerks. Over time you will learn quite a bit. Once you get past the crazy avatars you will see a very close community.

For that thing and you must try to look at the whitepaper and try to find another project that offers the similar service or tech development. it may take a lot of time. icodrop looks very good choice for you.

I'm in the closed telegrams chats, they receive information on the coins. Still use crypto-calendars (you can find on the Internet). One of the sites where you can watch the event on the coins http://coinmarketcal.com

The crypto space is so fcking spread out on diffrent medias its crazy. I mosty use this forum, reddit and then watch some larger crypto channels on youtube to get my news, and i usually catch them fairly early. But in crypto shit happens so fast. 1 hour old news can be totally outdated already and has massive changes to it. Hard for me to give you advice, but stay vigilant And always listen to more experienced users!

In general, I will only focus on two types of cryptocurrencies (the two types here are two of my own definition): 1. Has been very stable and ecologically mature cryptocurrencies , such as Bitcoin, Ethernet, NEO, IOTA and so on 2. new ICO token.
For the first type, you only need to pay attention to this forum, and for the second one you should pay attention to some websites that introduce ICO.
