The most important thing to ask is the benefits of the alt coin and why do they need it. If they can't reply to that apart from to have an ICO you don't need to ask anymore questions.

A project that doesn't have a value will die at some point regardless if it raises millions.

These seem important to me:
- What is the project's future after the ICO?
- Is there an MVP?
- Does the project actually need blockchain?

You need to ask about the overall concept, whatever that is. Why they are doing it and what they are aiming to achieve.

About the white paper the team memeber and their plan to promote which is quite important because it may influence the price of the tokens. And other detail you are interested in.

Ask them why they are creating a coin. If they can't reply, then walk away.

Prominent questions to ask are:
What solutions do the ICOS proffer?
Milestones and how they intend to achieve their road map?
Awareness program and choice of publicizing?
ICO closing date and how to invest?
intended date of launch on exchange?
Exchange listings?

The most important question is what does the coin / token offer and what are the benefits? It is the first thing you need to know.

You need to ask so many questions, I don't think you can just state one.

You need to ask about the meaning of the alt coin, what it is supposed to do, the ICO, the concept and what they are planning to do if they reach their investment level.

The first question of any investor should be: why do I need to buy your tokens? What is the benefits of keeping them? And I pretty often ask questions regarding jurisdiction.

My main question is if they, certain ICO, has their MVP ready and running.
If not, then it will be released

In an ICO thread its good to make enquiry about the dev behind the project, make enquiry about them because there are lot of project that only use fake dev and advisors. They will promise to hit big exchanges after ICO but they will not fulfill their promises.

The firs tthing that cames to my mind when i see your thread, is that you have 1000 accounts on this forum and you are asking for suggestions in order to bump those threads.
I think this thread could be a great learning tool for the newbies here on what they should be looking for.
And no, of course not, maybe if they are "newbies" from the scratch and they do not know how to make a simple question, you would be right. But most people in here have some brain, and they know how to do it by theirselves.
I think this thread could be a great learning tool for the newbies here on what they should be looking for.
Came on, just be realistic.

hello all,

I am curious to see what questions do you think you should ask on an ICO announcement thread. I think this thread could be a great learning tool for the newbies here on what they should be looking for.

So what do you think? What questions do you ask when you click on an ICO announcement thread?

Well obviously, it depends on the ICOs and when you found their announcement thread.
Questions may vary and be a whole lot or just 1-3 questions. Some of them may be about the team, their road maps, plan b, c,  etc when plan a fails, some will also ask questions about the white paper, the website, and so much more. Depending on what's present already and what's nit. But the thing you should keep in mind is that
your questions must be precise and what you really wanted to ask. And always remember to never ever be scared or shy to ask because it is your money that you are investing or your time to do the tasks on their campaigns.

First of all, you need to know the white paper and technical route of the ICO project, so if you have any questions, you can ask questions in the ANN thread.

You need to know all the technical stuff, such as where they are going, what their token does and how it will help in society.

I would also ask about burning of the tokens and Pre-ICO locks, people seems to forget about that as a question.
