to start testnet of bitcoin,you must use Original Bitcoin Client . step1:right click the bitcion-qt.exe and create a shortcut  step2:right click the shortcut and edit properties  step3:add -testnet to the target and change icon  select the icon you like  step4:save the shortcut and run it  if you want to mine ,just add -gen at step3 ,then enjoy it !   |

如果选择挖矿,那么将是单独挖矿,挖到块的几率非常小。因为既没有设置矿池,也非solo
testnet的总算力大概啥水平?

按这个难度,用cpu,大概两天可以挖到一个块。 用5870显卡,2个小时可以挖到一块。 |

Don't mine testnet coins just for fun! You will disrupt the testnet. Testnet coins are completely worthless and the devs could restart the testnet any time.
不要亂挖testnet bitcoin. Testnet bitcoin一文不值, 而且bitcoin開發人員有權隨時重設testnet.

Not very well work. The sync is so slow. testnet BTC can not opern. The getgenerate is soso.
