Hi,

I am new to the bitcoin world and I tried to buy my first bitcoins from https://wallofcoins.com/en/ 3 days ago and had really bad experience.
The transaction has been reported as unconfirmed and now it is listed as removed/double spending (I am not sure if I understand what removed/double spending means, but I think it means cancelled).

Following are the transaction details:

https://www.blocktrail.com/BTC/address/3399qqKsvkyPduwH6nwiHoEQ21CfbgyXoR

Here the transaction appears as removed/double spending.
https://btc.com/84ef9e0b549afdd5bdd98f37f5aa2e88cb3cb3f800caa1da8dff665842f58022

Have I got scammed? Can you please help or give some advice?
The wallofcoins.com customer support told me is not their responsibility and they do not seem to respond anymore to my emails/chat.

FYI: I have a hardware wallet nano s and has zero balance (3399qqKsvkyPduwH6nwiHoEQ21CfbgyXoR)

Thanks,

Andrew

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

I would say if the one explorer shows as "removed / double spend" then they done something possibly dodgy, ask them to advise you why your BTC is not in your wallet, the fee is not that low 358 satoshi/byte so should have confirmed by now but seems it has not due to the "removed / double spend"?

If they start getting funny with you take to social media to tell of your situation...

Thanks for the reply.

I told them my wallet has zero balance and they told me they will "re-broadcast it". I am not sure what that means. So frustrating Sad

They double spend with this transaction bc885333b54b5f81865943cb811b9d1a022929fb0250160468860546b45fca3a .

That means that the funds that was supposed to be delivered to your address are now sent somewhere else.
Smells like they did it intentionally, as one of the grandparent transaction(35bc0f6521ab504d6fb2678fa88c00127f8e52384212948e43549cd221e7dda1) to your child  transaction 84ef9e0b549afdd5bdd98f37f5aa2e88cb3cb3f800caa1da8dff665842f58022 was sent with 10 Sat/B.

They are fully responsible for this, if they deny, then you got scammed.

You should awnser them and reply that the inputs of the transactoin already have been confirmed in a conflicting transaction.
Include the ID of the conflicting TX (https://www.blocktrail.com/BTC/tx/bc885333b54b5f81865943cb811b9d1a022929fb0250160468860546b45fca3a).
They definetly made a mistake (or intentionally tried to not deliver your coins).

Quite a few people are having issues with wallofcoins. But the majority seems to give positive feedback. Not sure how much you can trust these feedbacks.

Hello

I went back to the wallofcoins.com with the above information and they do not seem to do anything about the conflicted transaction. In fact they stopped replying. I guess I lost my money now Sad
I would also not recommend to anyone use wallofcoins.com there is definitely something wrong with them.

Is there a scam/fraud report agency or website for bitcoin scams to report?
