Yes i am holding these coins too except XLC,ELIXIR,and WABI these coins already gave me x1000 profits since i aquired them.

before i give my opinion, i think you must ask him why he buy that coin??
on what term? short term or long term investment or just trading?
is he already read the whitepaper? know the roadmap?
btw why you use word "bet" and not invetment?

Out of these, I have only heard about Potcoin and Deeponion coin. But I think all these coins are good only for short term, quick profits. Nothing for the long term. They don't have any potential to become big coins now or in future. Just like a Dogecoin.

Sorry, I used the word 'bet' just like that, I meant investment
He say it is a long term investment for him. He wants to HODL.
I know he spends a lot of time of forums but I am not sure if he read any whitepapers or any thing about roadmaps. I haven't discussed that with him. I keep telling him to buy some BTC atleast, but he wont listen.

All is altcoin, which does have good increase but was nothing to compare for early holder.

He got lucky by put his money in TXR or so for all the top 5 coin of him. But there was increase of the whole market too.
