SPOTme Coin (XME), a Cryptonote Lite Variant 1 cryptocurrency.  We are building the
platform necessary to take SPOTme cryptocurrency to the next level.

OUR GOALS

* Address cryptocurrency ease of use

* Improving the ability to spend and buy cryptocurrency

* A SPOTme marketplace for 3rd party developer add-ons

* Holistic approach to SPOTme platform

Our vision
Cryptocurrency needs to have the infrastructure beyond a wallet and blockchain replication.  The foundation is there for a very good cryptocurrency with SPOTme. However, we see a broader need beyond where the industry is today.
To understand our vision you need to look to Apple.  When Apple created the appstore they had no idea of what apps would be built to take advantage of the capabilities of IOS devices, they just knew that there was power in unleashing the development community with a platform which provided creativity and capability.

As such, we are building a marketplace for SPOTme apps built by the development community at large that have been verified by our project.

Why the 33% Premine?

More than anything we get questions on why we premined 33%.  We know if you're conventional, you think it's way too large.  But consider this: any business or project needs funding.   After an ICO, there are no other ways to fund the ongoing operations of a crypto-currency like the Project infrastructure and expansion of the team.  It just makes business sense.

While you can get far on volunteer efforts, in the end of the day, for us to take SPOTme where we want it to be, we will need paid professionals and a paid marketing strategy.  SPOTme premine will be the main source of that funding.

Premine Breakdown

Project Reserves for funding operations, ICO, expansion of team, etc 50%30,437,127.50 XMEVaries

How we've used the premine to date

We have used the premine for competitions, like the 1 million SPOTme give away,  300k+ SPOTme Logo redesign competition.
We have also distributed SPOTme to the participants of the ICO.

We intend to have further competitions along the same lines. Watch our website for more giveaways.

When will we list?

We want to list as soon as possible. Like you, we want SPOTme traded on exchanges.  That said, we have approached this from the start to do things the right way-- which includes listing.  We want to put our best foot forward when we list.

Our prerequisites for listing -

  • Mining Pool - Done
  • Block Explorer - Done
  • Paper Wallet - Done
  • New Logo - Done
  • Better Website - Done
  • ASIC and Nicehash resistance - Done
  • Release of SPOTme Source Code - Done
  • Public Remote node for syncing wallet - In progress (June 20th, 2018 +- 7 days)

Thanks but this still doesn't say anything about the mining bit .. sure, there is miner.exe which I run in it's own cmd but there's no output of any sorts.

I currently use miner.exe --address my_address --threads 3 but that isn't doing anything .....

If you are using the miner made by the devs, you need to set the verbose level to at least 4 to see something (i.e. set_log = 4). Otherwise, its not gonna show anything... I thought that it was hanging the first time i ran it.

Alternatively, if you have GPUs, you're better off using xmr-stak and mine @ pool.crypto-me.com (its the only pool out there currently).
