how do i buy etherum ? Coinbase wont approve of me.. been waiting 1 month.

they dont answer their support tickets.. and phone call was 5 hours then i hung up...

I registered in that site gemini but 2 weeks and still not approved... trying to get etherum.. i am from new york so people wont sell me bitcoins on local bitcoins. i dont understand when coinbase will let me buy on theirs.. my friend(new york) has coinbase and it works for him...

so legally i can only buy etherum... so i need to buy it. this is very upsetting. i could have increased my investment by 3x by now. i wanted to invest in ripple when it was .70 when i heard about the bank news etc. now there are other coins i want to invest in but coinbase and gemini wont approve of me... and localbitcoins only works for non new york residents..

also i plan to report my taxes..so everything needs to be done legally with a bank preferably...
