Who doesn’t love to travel? You learn about the world and other cultures, you meet new people, you make wonderful memories, you practice your language skills and take amazing selfies.

The problem is, even though travelling should be a time to relax and connect with our inner selves, sometimes it can get as stressful as everyday life.

Whether you’re on vacation, living abroad or doing a business trip; you will have to deal with organization, planning, maybe homesickness, and the most common of all: budget limitations. Specially if you have a tight budget, overspending will be a big concern during your experience abroad and may get in the way of you enjoying the trip at all.

How can you save money?
Organize your itinerary carefully. When, where, what; just so you get a general idea.
Set a budget and stick to it. You can set a budget per day, per week or per trip.
Stay away from touristy areas and tourist traps.
Cook more, walk more, do research on free deals and activities.
Avoid fees! With travel debit cards that are free and fee-less, I only know Globcoin.

I think you should calculate the reasonable amount when you prepare to travel in a certain country. cost of meals, sightseeing.

I think once you have traveled, it is difficult for you to save money for your trip.

Couch-surfing and cheap flights are the best. If you also know how to cook, people will welcome you into their homes every time.

Everyone has been traveling. How to have less money but still travel. Or in other words how to save money when traveling. In my way, to save money when traveling, we must prepair carefully before going. Determining the points to visit to save time and gasoline. Most important is to have a motorbike to actively move. hotel is not need near the center. it is to cheaper price to save money when we travel

Ways to save money while traveling:
1. Book a room with a refrigerator/microwave or kitchen area. Although some people might not like to cook while on vacation, I don’t mind making breakfast in my room. I love having a cup of coffee on my deck, but room service can be very pricy. I’d rather eat-in for breakfast and lunch and then splurge on a fancy dinner. A microwave and fridge will also be helpful for reheating leftovers.

2.  Shop at farmer’s markets and local stores. Farmer’s markets often lower the price of their food towards the end of the day. Also, shopping at local stores allows you to taste the local cuisine without having to pay the price of a restaurant. Buy some local fish and cook it up at your condo.

3. Before you book, be aware of the location of where you’re staying. Transportation can add up quickly, so you may want to stay in a central location. Ideally, somewhere you can walk everywhere would work best. If you’re staying in a city, will you be near a subway or bus stop?

4. Carry snacks/water during outings. Kids will need snacks while you are exploring, and it drives me crazy to spend money on silly snacks. Throw some granola bars in your bag and pull them out when the kids need fuel. Don’t even get me started on how much I hate spending money on bottled water when I can buy an entire case for the same amount. Always carry your own water. However, splurge when it comes to treats that you can only find in that location.

I love to travel, especially to places with beautiful scenery it helps me relax, after hours hard work.
If I was selected to go to a place, I would choose to go to Cambodia because of where I have friends who are very friendly and especially beautiful scenery, so I will spend all my time in BTC. and hoping it can bring me some money so that I can travel and do the things I like.

Me and my friends use to travel. But we always tend or prefer cheap thrills. Besides who got no fun when you're with the best people. But first and foremost the best tip I could you is canvas. Choose where you're most convenient at. Then break down all expenses. Stick to the budget.

If you want to save money while traveling, you shouldn't buy something which you didn't need, it would save more money.

I travel a lot and this is how I save money:

I travel short distances by bus (if it does not take more than 12 hours).
I don't eat in the restaurants, just buy some sandwiches in the local shops. Wink
Stay in the hostels. They are not that great as hotels, but they are ok. And they cost way too cheap than hotels.  Grin
Don't buy too much souvenirs. I just buy one or two magnets from each place I go, that's it. All of them are just businesses stealing your money!

That's my experience! Enjoy traveling!  Cool

1. True, buses cost alloooot less than plane rides.
2. I just noticed that packed meals or sandwiches from 7/11 cost a lot cheaper than eating in a local restaurant.
3. Will probably need some getting used to..
4. True1000x... They are not worth it and will likely be misplaced and forgotten anyway.
