With crypto, difficult to say that "if it is a bubble then it is going to be the year when it's explode."
There are a lot of things that will happen in the near future. So this year - 2018 might not be the year for the btc to explode.
But okay, let's see if BTC is a bubble so to say. Just my opinion though.

bitcoin has stabilized from last month and some have decreased. for the year it will probably explode, but instead of exploding to go down, I think it exploded to pump hard and could reach 20k - 25k usd.

It's not mainstream yet, but it's starting the journey towards it. If it does go mainstream it could reach a million dollars a coin. I doubt it will reach that price in 2018, but it might go higher than most people expect.

12 months in crypto is a very long time.
If we compile everything that has happened with Bitcoin alone coupled with all the Alt-Coins we could write some book.
Given my 4 key points in bitcoin ATM: Transaction speeds, Fees, Futures and $ value they all have a bearing on how Bitcoin will perform in 2018,
and these along with other positive and negative unforseeable events yet to play out leaves for a very exciting year.
I'm not sure this bubble will burst though, if we are calling it a bubble.

Well its already 2018 and its only on its second month,  and Bitcoin already decreases into half of its highest price. This is not a good start of 2018 for all crptocurrency people, and also I think that having an issues on bitcoins also affects the price of other cryptocurrency such as Etherium, LTC and Alt coins.

Even though bitcoins are decreasing its price this year. I believe that bitcoin is not a bubble and I have the faith that Bitcoin will again regain its price and recover from these issues.

the word "bubble" seems to have lost all meaning when it comes to bitcoin and random people like OP using it

most of the times this word is used, if you look at the content they are trying to make it into some scary thing that will crash and kill bitcoin's price down to a ridiculously low number like $100
in time the expectation of others also changed when they started thinking a bubble means any price that is higher than their wishes. so if they wished to have bought at $3000 then they will call anything bigger than that a "bubble". if they wished to buy at $15000 they will call above that a "bubble". not understanding what they are talking about!

Can't say much but the way new ICO's are coming out in 2018. Shows a good sign for another cryptoboom. This so-called bubble burst will never happen this year or in the near future. I found many services offering cryptocurrency as payment, online seller adapting crypto bandwagon.

I do not think that this is a bubble and I do not think that bitcoin will explode. Billionaires invest money in crypto-currencies and in technology, factories are built on the level of crypto-currencies, the ecosystem only expands despite the reduction in prices and prohibitions in different countries

The real test is just happening , we will see if bitcoin can still hold the $8k price. If not then we might see again 4 to $5k price. This is all fault by mt gox trustee who sold 65,000 btc.
