Hello everyone,

I am trying to withdraw bitcoin to another address from kraken and it states that the address should be validated via email. However, when I approve the link, I get a message "The withdrawal approval code is invalid or has expired." I have tried to remove and add multiple times. What should I do in this case? Any help, much appreciated.

Regards,

I saw some references to this, I think it's been a problem in the past and is usually on the fault of Kraken (not the user).
I saw one reference that i'm not sure would work for your situation:  "Try to create a different wallet, and withdraw into the new one".  Other than that, as with most Exchanges they are working on issues and there site says an upgrade is coming soon. You might have to wait for them to fix this, perhaps create a support ticket with them.

Thanks for your fast reply. I have already googled and tried this solution,  unfortunately with no success. I don't want to wait for a ticket reply(takes long time) since I want to buy a coin and I am missing an opportunity at present. Do you think that  this might be due to heavy traffic or something? I will try within few hours once again..

Kraken and Coinbase both have degraded services as a result of so much traffic using their services.  This has been going on since late December.  They both say they are working to upgrade their respective services and that should be accomplished shortly but who knows in reality how long it's going to be?  It's a frustrating situation.

The kraken was trying to do a major system upgrade while the OP was trying to withdraw. The upgrade didn't work and was postponed for a few more days.

Perhaps if the OP cancels his withdrawal and tries to make another it will work the second time. Bearing in mind that by all accounts every button click on the kraken can take hours to get processed.

Note: In the process of performing final checks ahead of rollout, we discovered a problem in one of the system components. We have been unable to resolve the issue in the last 24 hours and expect to make another attempt after the issue has been resolved, in the next few days. We will make another announcement when we are ready.

This is very frustrating. However, I do hope that this service will be available soon. At least, this is helpful information but 2 days after the announcement it's not working...
