Hi all,

I've just got my hands on 4 ASICMINER block erupter USBs. They only hash slightly more than a gigahash, and I'd like to know how I can overclock them.

You cant. Unless you can physically remove the chip inside it and replace its frequency.

Is it even worth getting one Block Erupter and running it?

for a hobby, sure.
chances of it paying itself off are slim.
pulling a profit? probably not.

I have One Erupter that i have running by itself on one of the more popular Pools. I have it set to payout .05 BTC automaticly. Based on the frequency of payout i calculate the number of days to earn 1 BTC.

Here is what i have so far:

Date   Description      Tx Fee   Debit      Credit      Days Per Bitcoin

19 Jul 2013   Payout               $0.05000000      180.00000000
29 Jul 2013   Payout               $0.05000000      200.00000000
10 Aug 2013   Payout               $0.05000000      240.00000000

as you can see, the increasing world hashrate is destroying this little guy's earning potential. Also, power outages and internet outages extended the the 10 aug payout so it is probably a little off. Need more samples to come up with a more meaningful result.
