Convert Your Sample BFL Chips To a Little Single (Custom ASIC Board)?

Chris99 in UK is offering to install BFL sample chips* on a board if anyone is interested. 3-4 chips per board.  $600 per board is not cheap but could be a quick way to get a Little Single in hand while deciding what to do with the rest of your chips once delivered.

You can send the chips to UK or you can send them to me in Houston and I will forward them.  

*BFL will release up to 5 sample chips per 100 chips ordered if you email them (jonathon@butterflylabs.com).

In the interest of full disclosure I am not part of their engineering team and have no more information on their ability to deliver in "approx. 10 business days" than is available on the BFL forum so, as always, look before you leap!

Note that only 2 of these sample chips are free, the other 3 of the five are taken out of the 100 chip order, and only 97 chips will be delivered if you choose to do it that way.

That is true but better to be hashing earlier with those chips than later if possible and affordable...

You also need to know that samples are really poor quality... And Jalapeno board will give you only 1,8 to 2,5 GH per chip(tested). Unless you make new firmware and increase the voltage... We did get 3,6 on average out at 8,5% HW errors... And we did big modification to it... So you could also wait about 20 more days and use our board with normal price... I don't think you will make 3 to 4 BTC difference in that time... And if you donate chips for our 16 chip board project you get lower prices priority and also benefits such as quick warranty replacements... If interested contact me and I will explain what that is...
