Please excuse me for asking this here but I want the recommendations of those that are actually mining, buying mining equipment.

I need BTC, lots of them, so I can make BE buys with Canary.  Problem is this will be my first BTC buy ever so I want to deal with the very best among, to my knowledge, not many very good choices.
How hard can it be to find a relatively, in crypto-currency terms, established, reliable party to accept my cash or cash equivalents and convert them to BTC in a reasonable amount of time at a reasonable fee, exchange rate?   I understand that people want to deal in BTC which helps us all by supporting the value of BTC but if you can't reliably buy them you have to mine them; you can't mine them without mining equipment which you buy with BTC.  A Catch-22.

If you were going to buy BTC, where would you buy them?  Coinbase, Camp BX, ??

Thanks for your input.

you are the new guy so buying btc will be slow. coinbase is okay order from them the first order takes a week. during that week no more orders allowed.  so order enough since you can not order for a week.  after they pay your first order you can order 10 coins a day every day but wait a week for each new shipment.  then after 30 days you can order 50 coins a day short wait 1 to 6 hours.

for now  if you want to test  buy a stick or 2 .
some are on ebay for under 50 usd.
I resold 27 on ebay today at 53 a stick.

I do not have any to sell and will mine with what I have.

guidelines for your own labels:

small priority box fits 14 USB miners
medium priority box fits 100 USB miners
large priority box first 140 USB miners
20 USB miners fit into a flat-rate padded envelope

For Labels: What about the shipping DATE? USPS requires us to select a date of shipment - can we print a label without knowing when our units will ship?
Use Thursday's date...

Speaking of a blade order:

What flat rate box do they fit in and how many can you fit in a larger flat rate box?

This is sounding like hyperinflation in reverse. Keeping up to the exponential rise in difficulty is like the nuclear arms race.

Despite all that, fuckit Shocked  I needs to get some ASAP and get blown up!

I look forward to see whats going to happen with International orders Smiley

Or are they still possible?
friedcat has designated re-sellers to different regions/countries.  so if a buyer is from a place that has a designated re-seller, they should go to that re-seller.
I will honor and finish up any outstanding orders and requests, but in the future, buyers should go to their respective designated re-sellers.

This would be a real pity. For my non-EU, US-friendly European country, it is much more streamlined and faster to receive goods from US than from an EU-based European reseller.

I am glad I place my order with your, Canary, before this got announced. Oh, well, all good things end.  Smiley Once my current order is fulfilled, my hashing power will double, and then I will wait for KnC to tenfold it...

Please excuse me for asking this here but I want the recommendations of those that are actually mining, buying mining equipment.

(...)

You can create an account with an exchange. I'd recommend BitStamp. You can then do a bank transfer and buy your coins there. I think they have a limit of $1000 for unverified accounts. Verification takes only a minute and requires you to scan and submit 2 documents: an ID and a proof of residence (e.g., an electric bill where your name and address are stated). Then all transfer limits are lifted.

This is sounding like hyperinflation in reverse. Keeping up to the exponential rise in difficulty is like the nuclear arms race.

Despite all that, fuckit Shocked  I needs to get some ASAP and get blown up!

My thought exactly. That must have been like Soviet and US leaders felt:
- He's got 10 nukes, need to up it to 20.
- He's got 20, I'm going for 100.
- Intelligence report they have 100. To hell with it, we go for 1000 and let them try have more.
- Only 1000? We already have another 15000 in the pipeline....
And so on...

“Dark times lie ahead of us and there will be a time when we must choose between what is easy and what is right.”
“We are only as strong as we are united, as weak as we are divided.”
“It is important to fight and fight again, and keep fighting, for only then can evil be kept at bay, though never quite eradicated.”

YXT is selling the blades for 12.5 BTC + Shipping(.13 Germany, .25 EU) = 12.63-12.75, compared to 10.5 + Shipping (1.25) + Customs (20% I think, so around 2.35BTC) = 14BTC.
Isn't it a better deal?

My question is, how long for the blades to pay for themselves at these prices?

All this new ASIC buying could put a floor on the price of BTC.  On the flip side it will be harder to mine and get paid that many miners may give up if the price doesnt rise by fall.

Big money needs to step in and take it higher or else there will be a nuclear winter in BTC.  Speculation at its finest.

Thats true but I'm on about buying erupters not blades Smiley.

.45 vs .32 is a lot of difference per miner when you're buying 30 ish!
