--- Xtrabytes. This thing is amazing. It holds a record (or close to it) for the #1 coin on CMC in terms of price increase for the year of 2017. I think it went up like 4000x? Anyways, it is a complete revolution of blockchain, and can render Bitcoin and Ether obsolete.
Right now it is ranked #100-ish on CMC, and that is too low! But it's relatively new, and has seen major major growth. Right now it is in a corrective phase, and it looks like it is hitting the bottoms, ready to surge again. Don't miss out on this!

--- SHIFT. Notice how Substratum, a SHIFT competitor, is ranked 70 on CMC? SHIFT is nowhere near that, even though it is a stronger coin with a working product. I invested in both coins, and they both are doing well, but I see the most future potential for SHIFT, since its only weakness is marketing rather than failure to deliver on products.
Once this thing gets known by more people, it will skyrocket.

--- SpectreCoin. One of the top privacy coins in terms of tech, but still is rank 200? Only for now - it has seen nice growth the past few weeks, and again, it is correcting and hitting bottoms, ready to surge again. It is much better tech-wise than XVG (Vaporware Verge), and has much more upward potential. HODL.

---Espers. An incredibly high potential coin sitting all the way near rank 300 on CMC. It has recently been revived from the dead by new dev activity, and rose from 1 satoshi to 17 satoshis. 100 satoshis is not unreasonable at all in the relatively short term.

---Oyster Pearl. My prediction that came true. Actually, despite have made a recent x10 rally in the last few days, it is still highly undervalued.

I recommend Oyster Pearl after a little while (still needs to cool down after an amazing run-up), but keep your eye on this hidden gem!

0.02 Espers is about 0.34 satoshis. Even Nakamoto did not think of how big Bitcoin would become!

Nevertheless, it shows how much upward potential Espers has.

Thank you for the kind words....The new website is now live and the latest SpectreCoin [xspec] v1.3.4 client update is due tomorrow January 9,2017 pending the latest TOR update since the Spectrecoin network runs natively on TOR+OBFS4....so users in China,Iran and countries blocking TOR are able to utilize.

I completely agree with you on SHIFT and Oyster Pearl, both projects are great and have a skilled team, constantly making progress. PRL is being talked about a lot lately and it will probably hit top 100 soon, that's because it tries to combine the DAG technology of IOTA(which everyone is hyped for after what happened with XRB) with the Etherum smart contracts. I can't comment on the others because I don't know too much about them.

My suggestion is Gifto (GTO), it comes from a well-established company in Asia and it is going to launch the beta version of the product in Q1 2018. I won't explain here what it does because this article does it better: https://medium.com/gifto/introducing-gifto-e8a773836d1b. With a market cap of only $120m and a low circulating supply, there's a lot of room for this one to grow.

Xtrabytes, wow is amazing, but this is so fast, it will not be easy to make those two popular coins obsolete quickly, look at the future, but interesting

At the moment cryptomarket it is place of manipulations, some coins really great, because they have any original algo or great ecosystem like Ethereum, but most of coins just bad designed clons. So I think that best choise now - ETH, Monero, Bitcoin, may be EOS

Let me just say that I think ETH has a lot of potential in 2018, especially with Casper upcoming. Maybe hit 1.5k soon, which was my initial project for some time in 2018. Some other top coins you listed are also good for solid growth.

But when it comes to the "next x10 coins in upcoming weeks", I have more faith in coins that are just as good (XSPEC is definitely a competitor with Monero - just needs some more recognition and better marketing to get there.. the tech is on par or even better) but are ranked low on CMC.

XSPEC, XtraBytes, and Shift have actually had really really good growth during the alt-season boom - they went up much faster than coins like XRP did, and much better than many of their competitors.

However, they were SO SMALL in market cap before the recent alt-boom that EVEN AFTER they grew massively, they are still ranked quite low.

That is why I think these coins will definitely go up in the near future. Oyster Pearl as well, but that already made a x10.

Research and hearsay. A lot of successful investors (I don't consider myself successful since I'm sure there are people who are making WAY more than I am) will tip some coins to you.

When you hear those coins, you should research them. I have done that, and have come to this conclusion.

The lack of marketing for these coins is stifling them. A barrier that could be removed at any moment..

I agree on Spectrecoin, it will do very good. It's the best privacy coin out there when you look at the tech. Got a new website yesterday and a new wallet release coming today. It's the best anonymous coin and is very undervalued atm. Should do amazing the next weeks

Xtrabytes is more of a gamble, seems they should have got some more News coming out. Blaming that they can't apply for patents before they get a business registration is strange. It's a very easy process and should be done swiftly. Got some Money invested there, but it's in my high risk portfolio. If they start to deliver it will do fantastic if not it will dump.

Oyster Pearl is good coin and has already done great.

SHIFT and Espers I'm not sure about.

There have been a lot of crazy increases from certain coins not too many know exist. This was one of them for me. No clue about SMART.
