I think there will always be countries that allow it, even if major ones outlaw it
But even in the US, they don't seem to be on path to ban crypto. The SEC recognizes the value of the blockchain, but they also recognize that there are a lot of scam ICOs, and idk how they're going to reconcile that
But any major country that throws out the blockchain-baby with the scam-ICO-bathwater is going to fall behind fast. Major countries can't afford to not invest in blockchain
China is pushing massive IoT initiatives for smart cities and pollution and all sorts of things. Other countries need to compete with that, so crypto can't get outlawed totally

Aye, lack of government control holds not only the beauty of encrypted currencies- but to many, also their value.
And what a great value {Dragonglass} could be... amidst such political uncertainty along with a corrupt & teetering financial system.
Makes you start to look at the value of all currencies differently...like what it takes to create it ( Proof of Work -or-  thin air? ) and/or what the total supply is ( 8 Million -or- 690 Quadrillion ? )

I just checked back on my machine that has been mining away, and I've got a pretty sizable balance, so if it helps get this on exchanges, I'll throw another 5,000 into the bounty for a Mac client.  I'll send it over the next time I go by that machine.

I was hoping to wait until news of season debut date before releasing to exchange, but letting this beast loose early might help with other things like the Mac client. Difficulty adjustments will certainly need to made beforehand, ala recent asics. I'll start work on that.

Hey miners we got a lot of side chain action goin on recently. We need to make sure everyone is using the same software.
I've added some things lately to help implement the block explorer - but it shouldn't be anything that would have required a fork, to my knowledge.

Alright. I'm gonna hope I was being overly paranoid (thats a good thing, right?) and resume mining with everything the way it was... pre-update.
We still need the upgrades but hopefully we can keep mining while I'm working on it. I'll put the seed nodes back online today (May30) @ ~ 12pm EST

hey buddy.
yea the original version we were mining was bare bones and still lacked a great many important security functions.
To be honest, when i first released it I didn't expect it to gain as much attention & interest as it did.
So i wanted to make sure to protect the coins of everyone who helped get it off the ground, before going any further.
Should only be a few more days. Thanks again for your patience. I know the wait hasn't been optimal - but the release- will be.

This really is a strange market - ICOs, cryptocurrencies. And I do not mean the slang or the general newness and therefore the inaccessibility of the underlying technology, but the way and the speed it operates,Usually one would not expect results from a start up in a month.But since a lot of players in this market use crypto to, basically, gamble, it's become expected that everything changes within a week or two
not complaining at all, just wanted to underline this is not how things usually operate

We wouldn't be here without it and wouldnt go forward without it.
Fear not, my friend - we're just gonna upgrade to a more secure chain and allow for broader network infrastructure with more features.
