Gems is a good project, worth to participate the coin.

The Gems Alpha is created with the mindset of moving efficiently to create real world utility, rather than building in the dark. In the Gems Alpha, you’ll be able to log into the Gems Platform via Metamask, select a job (there’s only 1), get assigned a task, complete a simple arithmetic task, earn Gems on the Ropsten test network after your work is verified by another worker, and withdraw your Gems. On our end, we’ll be able to test the scale of what we’ve built and gather valuable feedback for moving forward.

i've been researching ICO's as thats what will give the greatest returns, and Gems is one ive been made aware of that i'm quite excited about.

They describe themselves as a "Decentralized Mechanical Turk" that is built on Ethereum. On it people can hire workers to perform "micro-tasks" that can be completed online in return for tokens. This is already a huge industry but as they're using blockchain tech they can improve upon the existing business model, their site lists the advantages as: "Gems reduces consensus by redundancy, increases pay for individual workers while decreasing total pay for requesters, creates efficient interfaces, eliminates large fees, allows others to build innovative DApps on top of it, and enables computer literate workers with internet to work with or without a bank account."

Its started by a couple of brothers who are both 22 year old Harvard dropouts. They left to start a site called gifs.com which I thought was very well made, on the site you can make gifs from videos and using the site is easy and intuitive, hence showing they know how to give a good UX. They also have the co-founder of twitter and the co-founder of reCAPTCHA on board, as well as others. Their blog and twitter are also quite active.

Imo this is not too dissimilar to bounty0x which has shown solid gains and is going for a business idea that has been well verified and proven to be profitable. They haven't said when they'll start the ico but im gonna keep looking for updates.
