A word of caution to fellow miners regarding selling on Amazon.

Recently I sold 3 asic miners S9 to a guy who for the sake of this warning shall be named Alex. He bought the 3 machines, I shipped them at a cost of 113 usd 3 day shipping to make it quick for him. He signed all 3 for the UPS delivery.

5 days later this asswipe files an A to Z claim, claiming that
He is missing one machine. He filed for refund of 2 machines. Probably thinking i wouldnt notice because maybe I was a high volume seller. Well I am not, it was the first time selling on Amazon and already our fellow miners in the world trying to scam.

So i provide all receipts for him and Amazon showing clearly someone signed and clearly all 3 packages were sent.

So douchbag, if you are reading this remember karma is a bitch.

I would warn others now to caution using Amazon as a platform to sell any of your mining related hardware. There are so many scam artists in this industry that you are taking a giant risk giving up any machines. These asswipes know how to work the system.

So while I wait for seller arbitration to conclude, more than likely stating that buyer wins, think very long and hard about the scumbags that surround us in blockchain.

Damn man that really blows - I have a side business selling a few high end items on Amazon and in the beginning I was doing the shipping myself and that A-Z bullshit they have really fucks us (the sellers) because I never won a single case from assholes like that. Since then I ship everything to Amazon and if there's a "missing item" or lost item dispute it falls on Amazon and not me. It's such bullshit and I took a few really heavy blows but that's the only way to get around it as a seller.

That sucks my friend. Here in Australia we have Gumtree not sure what you guys use in the states? Maybe Craiglist.

But basically come to my place bring cash and then piss off - no issues with chargebacks etc.

Just a heads up for those selling on Amazon - they don't consider tracking as proof of delivery. They want an actual signature. If the item is worth $200 or more pony up the $5 because there are a lot of scammers that had their eBay accounts suspended so they move on to Amazon. I take pictures of the items before I ship but Amazon can always say you shipped something else - at that point you just cave in to the Bezos machine.

At best all you can do with Amazon is defend yourself against an A-Z claim - you never come out ahead. The place where you can really punish somebody is filing a criminal charge with the post office for mail theft. Also file a complaint at IC3.gov

Once a track record of 10+ crimes are connected the higher up agencies will get involved so you need to do your part to report the assholes.

This is the exact same kind of bullshit that had me stop selling miners on ebay.  I never tried amazon.  My last miners I sold on the forums here.  I had high hopes for openbazaar but last I dinked with it there were things that were flat out broken when running on windows server and they seem not to know since the big v2.0 update didn't fix them at all.

Try to sell using on the computer hardware section of this forum and use escrow.

Ebay takes over 10% fee and Amazon I believe take a similar amount. Their dispute resolution is often in favor of the buyer.
