I think all have a chance of getting hacked. technological progress is also followed by the progress of how to surface a bug of the system. but the more danger for now is the exchanger.
somehow but I think some of the end of this month a lot of news about the rise of hacking events that target the exchanger. that is why we should be more careful in save our assets. would be better if enabled feature 2FA on exchanger. at least it will minimize our wallet being hacked

but people can target you directly by hacking/accessing your computer and taking funds from you by using your keys

It would be irresponsible to say that it is completely impossible for it to be "hacked." Looking back at vulnerabilities in previous security protocols such as WPA, which was the standard years back for wireless access points means that you should never be overconfident on the security of any one protocol or algorithm. There always exists the possibility that it could get cracked or compromised in some way. Bitcoin should not be an exception to this kind of thinking, albeit I am arguing mostly about technicalities.

All you have to do is to learn it from the expert, search everything on the internet or ask for an advice to any professional if you don't know anything. Prevention is better than cure, so start it with yourself and then apply.

Sure, A wallet can be hacked if the user don't take good security measures.
A good hacker can easily gain access to a newbie PC and steal his private keys.
Easy measures can keep you safe like 2FA, email verification, sms notification and a strong password, never trust freewares  and do not open suspecious websites.

If the complete online wallet server is trying to hack the bitcoin from the wallet. Still it is possible to hack the wallet you are using. So keep the fund always in the private key secured wallet and keep your wallet.dat file in your private location in your computer or elsewhere.
To say exactly using online wallet is not at all a perfect way to keep safe your wallet. You may here about the nice hash server. If they attacked your wallet company server, you have bear the lose no one will be responsible for it bro. You can read wallet provider norms to understand it.

Let's be real, you're discussing a possibility of something happening, although nobody has ever done it and nobody has ever shown a way to do it.
It's like discussing landing a ship on the Sun's surface. It hasn't been done, noone has ever come close to doing it, it will most likely never be done, but theoretically it's possible provided that you had some sort of force field shielding.

While I see where you are coming from and you are most likely right in that we will never see Bitcoin be hacked, my point is exactly that what you said about landing on the sun is the same that people thought when WPA got compromised. The same goes with vulnerabilities such as Spectre and Meltdown for processors discovered in the recent past. Everyone thinks it is completely impossible-- until it actually happens. Again, you are probably right, but it is also important to consider other possibilities.

No.. how would it be hacked? it is impossible to create a copy of a bitcoin or a crypto asset if that is what you are talking about.
The only way in that you can be "hacked" is that if someone gets your Private key from a pishing site, because of your exposure, or because you might have a malware on your computer and you do not have a hardware wallet.
That is why a lot of people prefer to have a hardware wallet, because you are never going to be hacked because of the huge security that they are offering (you need to press a button in order to confirm a transaction)

maybe, a person should have expertise that goes beyond the creator or developer of the wallet. in essence, it is not easy to break through an online-based system. although I agree, everything related to the virtual world can potentially be hacked.
