Coinmarketcap is responsible for the recent crash because they started excluding korean exchange prices from their overall index.

a) Do you have any proof for that claim? I'm just asking.
b) An alternative site would be coingecko.com, but the prices are always slightly higher the ones on cmc.

Not their fault, if something that small crashes the market we have bigger issues.

Yes, this is already own, but I don't think they did it intentionally. But it is also good that they are excluding Korean exchanges, cause it makes it seem that the price of certain cryptos is higher than it should be, which it really isn't the case. So good on coinmarketcap.

I use https://www.livecoinwatch.com/ to get a general view of the market, it's way better than coinmarketcap imo.

Well i still use Coinmarket cap because it's reliable and update their database daily but when they excluded the South Korean exchanges It's hard to catch up to what is the real price of my altcoins

You can manage your portfolio and create a watchlist, which means setting price alerts on your trades I guess.
With that being said, I don't have an account so I'm not 100% sure what the advantages are.
